Barbershop Overdrive v2

Great overdrive. You can dial in old school saggy to a tighter crispy crunch. Does not have the mid range hump like the tube screamer or its varients, so if that is what you are looking for this is not for you.

Boutique pedal guys know all about Fairfield effects and swear by them. This one is my favorite overdrive pedal, and not a modified copy of anything out there like most effects. This one is Mr. Fairfield's own personal design and simply sounds amazing. It is very versatile and runs from clean, in-between and almost fuzz like spatter with the sag and gain maxed. It utilizes J201's that are carefully biased to achieve a sound that only JFET transistors can produce. Ask any pedal builder and they will tell you that JFET's simply sound the best and very tube like. This is boutique quality and design, but the price does not reflect the work which I really don't understand. Mr. Fairfield is one of the good guys in the pedal world, and the forums prove it. He shares his designs with builders so anyone with electronic knowledge can build clones, what a guy! Thank you Mr. Fairfield.
