Lots of cheaper ones on the market. It is vital to know how many watts/amps your application will take. I use this for a portable air compressor and to blow up an air bed. Also for tires on my car. If the compressor takes more watts then the converter will handle, it won’t work. Read your application manual, select the right product. I always go higher than I need. This is an excellent product.

I ised this item to power an electric air pump.

Not the highest quality (The power cable for the wall is very thin and cheap, I will be replacing it) and the thing is probably at least twice as big as it needs to be but it does power my pico power supply in my ITX build and does it pretty efficiently.I may either try and reduce the size by trimming and rearranging the board and making a new case for it with my 3D printer or just use it as a template and buy new components to build my own.

I got this to power a mobile radio. It requires 12VDC with at least 10A power constant to stay alive while transmitting. Worked the first few times flawlessly, like everyone else said, but after a few uses it won't power anything that draws more than a few amps for a few seconds without shutting off. It says the fan turns on at 10A, well, that is also a lie because the radio set to the lowest power setting when transmitting still shuts off and the fan runs the whole time. I have tested this with a multimeter and proved that it is garbage. Too late to return so this is the best I can do. STOP RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!

Great product!

After using this for only a couple months I finally loaded it more then a couple amps, with a 8amp load the voltage is dropping below 10 volts causing my radio to shut off when transmitting

So far so good. It works for now. I bought a slightly cheaper one that lasted for 3 months and then just died one day. All power compatibility rules were followed too.

used this device on a camping cooler, work great!
