Pay attention! Question! Take action! Step up! Stand out!
Kicking off the mission to read more books about feminism, gender politics in general and more specifically about womanhood by both men and women started of with a grand plan. There are books. Gifted and bought, some have been read and some yet to be. Alot of them take time and dedication. Which, in the face of a busy life is a little challenging. Then, Georgia's book arrived. It went straight to the top of the pile, then immediately swipped off into my hands, for my eyes, head and soul to devour. It is a very special book to me. If there is any need to be reminded of statistics, techniques, insight and humour around such an important and knotty subject then i can dip in and out. Its not overwhelming. It doesnt require me to go neck deep, in reams and reams of information.Georgia brings to the world a very succinct and tight expose into what keeps us bogged down and what we can do to pay attention and then make choices to thrive at a time when alot of us are ready to stand up, dust off and do more than surviving. She arms us with vital information of our times and I cannot get enough of the quotes and tools she uses to structure ways of exploring the issues we all have to face, maybe now, maybe later or vicariously through others. One of my favourite asspects of this book, is that it doesn't pretend to be my quick fix. It asks alot of questions. Thus allowing my brain to bubble and boil! It reads like an autobiography, a workbook, a guide and a friend. Georgias's tone is unique but not obscure, her approach is warm but looses no stregnth and her words will always be my kind reminder to get up off my arse and do some standing out!I shall leave with the bits that resonated with me the most:"It left me with a bad taste in my mouth to hear a woman in a prominent public position with great power at her finger tips experienced and continues to be exposed to such unbashed masculine abuse.Yet at the same time, it gave me a strange feeling of solidarity and comfort. The feeling of solidarity obviously fills that lonely vessel of not being on your own, not feeling like a mad woman imagining it all, because so many women and men think it has all gone away. This is the twenty-first century, there is equality for all. "Georgia whilst being positive and encouraging, a real force for change does remind us still, of the grim foundations on which we stand. The statistics on rape, has prompted me to get numbers printed on my t- shirts, to prompt conversations about things we just cannot and WILL NOT ignore.I urge you to pick this book up and do some Standing up and Steping out (the way in which works, for you).

Why it can be a good thing to sometimes break the rules
We're all taught, as children, to obey the rules. But outspoken powerhouse Georgia Varjas, eloquently puts forward her case for when there are occasions that the rules simply need to be broken. Strongly in favour of giving a voice to those who don't feel comfortable or confident about stepping up and standing out, this is a powerful book that instils a feeling of 'I can do it' in anyone who reads it!

Wise and informative guide to make changes happen in this world.
I read this book in record time. It was brilliant. So many powerful statements and illustrated with witty stories from the authors life. This is a real Stand Out book.As a man, I am also disappointed at the slow, lame progress of basic human rights for women. Yes, it is a manifesto for rebels but it is also compulsory reading for women and men. It is about becoming aware of the injustices that exist globally and continue to define women and girls as less valued and less credited. I shall recommend this as a wise and informative guide to make changes happen in this world.

Great advice and research drives a strong feminist message
I’ve been lucky enough to have been given a sneak peek of The Rule Breaker’s Guide. It’s a call to arms for us women to fight for change and you’re really going to want to after reading it.Georgia’s writing has a high energy that drives her messages and research and you’ll finish the book wanting to make a change for the better in your life.

A true Rebel inspiring those of us that are still finding our way!
If you're looking for a book which will inspire you to take action and make change in your life - look no further. You'll also laugh along the way and, if you're like me, get just the right level of appalled at the stories Georgia shares with the vulnerability and determination only a true 'Rebel' could find the words for.

Break the rules your way
A mix of a manifesto, personal stories and a call to be you, letting the patriarchy crumble at your feet. A great read to get you riled up, as well as an honest insight into the world of a female performer. I loved it.
