This is a pre-painted diecast metal (with plastic details) display model of a Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. E, TIGER I (Sd.Kfz.181), German Heavy Panzer (Tank) of WWII, in 1/18th scale. The specific vehicle depicted here is vehicle number Red “326”, painted Dark Panzer Gray, serving with the Schwere Panzer Abteilung 502 “Mammut” (sPzAbt.502 – 502nd Heavy Tank Battalion “Mammoth”) on the Eastern Front, from 1942 to 1945. This tank is part of the Motorworks 1/18 Scale Diecast series (a registered trademark of Wal-Mart, Inc.), and was manufactured by New Millennium Toys, Ltd. (Hong Kong/China), in 2004, Part No. 313 / 00313 (Series 1). Additional features include: Rolling intermeshed running gear with flexible vinyl treads; a fully detailed exterior with all appropriate tools and equipment; realistically bent and battered fenders; removable tow cables; rotating turret; MG42 anti-aircraft machine gun mounted on the commander’s cupola; three (3) rear deck hatches open to reveal the engine; accurate and authentic German Wehrmacht Heer markings for vehicle number 326, serving with the sPzAbt.502 in Russia/Poland/Germany, 1942-45.

1:18 scale Tiger 1 German tank from Motorworks (2004)
What can I say, very impressive!! this piece, unlike a lot of its counterparts has a diecast top hull (the rest is regular plastic) this makes it heavier than the regular all plastic tanks in this scale. Another thing that sets this guy apart is that it has the interior detail!!! including a hatch to access the engine bay!! I was blown away when I saw this detail since the other tanks I own in 1:18 scale do not have as much detail as this guy does. The exterior has weathering and some battle damage, all of the hatches open very easily... All in all an amazing piece, I am thrilled to own it!!!
