Small and NOT Great
The Good:- Well build (no gaps or skew in the build frame, no leftover bits n bobs. Good quality control)* small and light - height is slightly greater than the height of an RJ45 Jack and the width is little more than 5 x RJ45 width + 12V pin width with a little spacers, and thus easy to wall mount or hide away on/under/behind/inside something else. The Bad:- The negotiated speed is 1GBPS FULL Duplex (as shown by ethtool on linux and linux kernel output via `dmesg`), but the average speed still comes to 100MBPS i.e. less than 12 Mb/s transfers ONLY ONE SIDED. Tested on linux with `dd`, `pv` and `nc`.- Needs a DHCP serving device to be attached or auto-configuration of IP addresses enabled. As you can guess, paying for a GBPS SWITCH that behaves like a 100MBPS HUB is not worth it.My personal experience: Do not buy.Why I got it: I bought it for testing a setup of a small Raspberry Pi cluster, which worked fine. However when I finally started to test shared updates over the network, I found that the switch was a bottleneck: in fact it wasn't a switch at all, given that it was behaving as HALF-DUPLEX.

Excellent performing gigabit switch
I saw a lot of reviews that stated that network throughput is bad or that the switch is responsible for packet loss, etc. I've been using this switch for more than 3 months now and it performs like a dream.I am enclosing a test I did via iperf with the following connection PC -> jio_router -> Mercusys switch -> mikrotik router -> Mac Mini with cable lengths exceeding 30m. Despite having 2 more switches in the way, the actual throughput was 950mbps (see enclosed pic). I have 0 doubts on the quality of the product - would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Recommended
Edit: After 2 months, i am dropping my rating from 5 to 2. Seeing random connection drops, packet loses, basically making the connection unreliable. Would now not recommend.Fantastic. Really good product. Simply plug and play, works out of the box like any switch from a big brand. No loss in bandwidth whatsoever. All 4 ports working at full capacity. Day 1 review, if anything blows up, will update ;)

If you can buy something else
The media could not be loaded. Overall decent device but mine wasn’t working suddenly. Issue here is not device, electronics fail the issue here is the support for the device.I called the support for replacement under warranty week back, they promised a call back to “review” the issue and for some reason the call never came:My suggestion don’t buy. Go for something else, don’t even buy tp-link(sister company I think). Gave them benefit of doubt that may be due to the pandemic they are short staffed or something but 10 days is probably too long for a email/call.

Good choice for Gigi port
I see that some reviews complaining here about this hub not giving over 100mbps, I have 140mbps act connection and Netgear router with Gigi port, and via this hub also I get 140mbps! Your router should have 1gb port and your cable plays major role, use good quality 1gb speed cable... I also had cat5 cable which is giving max 100mbps... So try using good cable and you will get over 100mbps speed .. it's tiny device and nice. You have to use CAT 5a or CAT-6 cable to get over 100mbps!
