Snack & Play Travel Tray 2.0, Black

I got these for my boys (ages 22 months and 3 yrs) to use during our family trip this summer. They came in very handy for all kinds of activities. I got the boys some magnetic tiles which worked great, but they were too young to trust with the dry-erase markers just yet. I was a little surprised how soft/flexible the surface was (I was expecting a fiberboard tray or something), but realized that they needed to be that "squooshy" to be safe in case of a car wreck. The down-side to that safety feature is that the surface can get creased, and it can have a little too much curve when they are trying to build a castle on it. We didn't really use the side pockets (in fact, would have preferred the trays didn't have the side flaps), but they may use them as they get older (removable/ detachable side flaps would be helpful). Overall, the boys were glad to have the trays. They worked well and were worth the money.Aside - the packaging folds the tray so you have to do a little work to try to get it flat again. Wish they would rethink the packaging.

This item was pretty much what I imagined it to be. I love that it has the whiteboard option so that as my son gets older he can also write in the car. The magnetic feature is not really strong enough for his letter and number magnets but may turn out to be helpful at some point. My son does not like the way that it wraps around him so we can only use it for short portions of our road trips.It may also be the way that he was moving or seated but we wanted him to be able to use his legos in the car but the table part sort of caves in so his pieces would just slide into the middle, frustrating him as he tried to build.

It works to keep toys within reach, but I was very disappointed that I didn't get the 2.0 that I ordered. The one I wanted had the white board (as shown), but the one that was delivered was just soft fabric. I read several reviews where this was the case for others, but I hoped that the problem had been fixed. If you are hoping for the whiteboard, you will most likely be disappointed.

It is just ok. it probably works better with some car seats than others. Ours is very narrow (Clek Fllo), so it prevents the tray from getting close enough to our daughter's body. Not sure I'd trust it with food for this reason, maybe once she's in a booster seat it will work better. But it does work nicely for her to color on.

This is ok but the table is too flexible and unstable. The side pockets are really nice and I like how they are long and help hold the table in place. The rim around the side is also a plus to keep items from rolling off. If it had a firmer table bottom and I would have given it 5 stars.

I ordered two of these Star Kids Snack and Play 2.0 trays for a road trip to Disneyland we are taking this weekend for my two sons. I spent the extra money on the 2.0 in order to have the white board and magnet, but I just received the original Star Kids Snack and Play - not the 2.0. There is no white board or magnet. They will still be great for the car ride, but I am just disappointed that I spend more money for the same product when it clearly states in the description that it is the 2.0.If you order this product, make sure you receive it in enough time to send it back if they send the wrong one.

I gambled on the 2.0 tray, as it was less expensive than the original. I received the 2.0 with the magnetic whiteboard surface. The item was folded in the package, but setting a heavy book on top flattened it out. It fit across our large car seat. My two year old was able to play with small toys and eat lunch in the car, so item is very handy. The magnetic surface works for his Melissa and Doug magnet sets as well.

Not for day to day use that is for sure. Not for a long trip looks like it will hold up fine. Difficult to attach if your child is not in a seat with a back(booster style no back)
