Some of the musical selections could have had more clarity and I wish there had been more variety in performers. Also, I would have liked Take the A Teain better had it been all instrumental- what Im used to.

Disapointed. Although there were some great songs, I found that there was way too many I did not recognize. Almost like they took the "B" side of a record to fill out the album. The songs that I recognized were great but in all honesty I would not purchase this album again. I bought this album to use in a nursing home thinking the residents would like hearing music from their era.

A nice compilation of 40's music on 3 CDs. I like compilations as they provide a variety of compositions and artists, rather than a single artist and music style. Best enjoyed on a multi-cd player with a 'random play' feature; provides a slight delay betwixt selections, and with no anticipated sequence.These music selections return me to my youth, listening with my parents to these tunes either on the radio or my Father's collection of shellac 78's.

This was a gift for my 91 year old father, and I have to say it was the best gift for him. i bought this to go with a Victrola Nostalgic player, so instead of coming home to the TV blaring, my dad is sitting in his chair singing along to music of the 40s. Yesterday, my dad even said to my mother, “This music makes me want to get up and dance!”

I bought this for my 94 year old mother with dementia who loves music. This set of CDs includes 33 songs from the 40s, and some of the artists also recorded in the 30s. This music is all from my mother's earlier years and they help her to remember those times. Research has shown that the use of music from their time helps dementia patients to connect to what they knew and to bring back memories. In addition to this music helping my mother, we like it, too.

３枚組であるが、一枚に１１曲（計３３曲）しか入っていないので、お安いとはいえない。有名な歌手、楽団の、有名な歌、演奏ばかりで、意外性、希少性、物珍しさがない。ありふれている。しかし、それゆえに、安心して聴けるという利点はあるかもしれない。

CD #1 played once on my player and then stopped working. CDs 2 & 3 won't work at all on my CD player. CD's will play on my computer only and I am hoping that doesn't change. All this being said the songs themselves are fantastic so I am really disappointed. Don't buy these - look for a similar compilation. I should have checked the reviews before buying because I see other people are reporting the same problems....
