Slider bent
The plate that slider rolls on bent causing slide to bind on round bar and not move. Hitch was still under warranty, so I contacted Curt and they said slider would be replaced one time. Installed new slider and after about five trips this slider is starting to bend also. My camper has a tongue weight of 3,750 lbs and it is rated for 4000 lbs. I am close but still under the limit.

Excellent fifth wheel hitch.
I bought this hitch and roller because it had the dual jaws instead of the slide bar. I waited until I actually towed with it to leave this review.I have to say that it lives up to the hype. Hitchup is easy with the handle that moves into place and the visual indicator and unhitching was just as easy. It's quiet and doesn't have much chucking at all. Even after towing for 4 hours the slider worked flawlessly and the hitch unlocked effortlessly. The roller is easy to operate. I slide it both ways with the 5er on it. I was on level ground (as you should be) and it wasn't a problem to disengage the dogs to prepare to slide. It slid easily into position. I think it may be a bit tedious if you ever had to slide it while on unlevel ground. You'll have to play with getting the truck in the right position to relieve pressure on the slide dogs so you can disengage them. The hitch and roller come in two separate boxes even though the shipping directions don't indicate that. And they are heavy!Unfortunately Amazon doesn't accept package feedback even though the product is sold by them. It would be packed well if it wasn't such heavy items. The shippers tend to flip and roll the boxes around instead of actually picking them up and moving them, so they become very beat up by the time they get delivered. I was lucky in that even though the packaging looked like it went though a war zone, the contents weren't scratched. One of the plastic parts bags were torn open but the only bolt that came out was still in the box. So I had all the parts.

The boxes looked great with no damage
I ordered this hitch on 9-2-15 delivery was set for 9-9 - 9-14-15. It was delivered on 9-8-15 so the delivery was fast and complete as it comes in 2 boxes. The boxes looked great with no damage. I watched the assembly video bye Curt Mfg. and was able to assemble and install the hitch with no issues. The directions however said it adjusts from 17 to 21 " this is not the case, it goes from 13 to 17". I pulled my 32' Keystone with it today and Wow what a change from my old Reese. It looks great and pulls smooth. The only issue is the rubber pads that go under the feet won't allow the pins to slide thru the dog legs like in the video. Now that I have put a few trips on this. What a change. Very quiet and smooth pulling. Haven't yet found the angle that it won't release to unhook, but then why would you look for it. My purchase with Amazon saved me about 600.00 from the local dealer.

Curt slider in new Silverado
I picked this hitch primarily because it is what GM uses. I have used Reese and B&W previously. So I ordered my truck with the gooseneck option installed by the dealer. After purchasing this slider hitch and assembling it while it was sitting on a couple of sawhorses I was really pleased when it dropped into the gooseneck hole, and locked in with the handle under the wheel well. Really glad I have an overhead lift in my shop so I was not manhandling it because this is a HEAVY hitch. If you do not have an overhead lift expect to get help when handling. It dropped in so nicely, and I am pleased when I take it out of the truck and there are no rails left behind. Clean bed - love it. Still have to set final elevation with the trailer but expect no problems.

The hitch itself seems fine. It is well made and heavy duty
The hitch itself seems fine. It is well made and heavy duty. The problem is with the shipping. The first one came with boxes broken open and ripped apart. Pieces were hanging out and damaged. I refused shipment. Amazon was great, sent another one right out. Same problem, but not quite as bad so I decided to keep it. Part of the hitch had a big dent and the paint was chipped off. I needed it then so I couldn't send it back. My tough luck I guess. I think this product is just way too heavy for _ _ _. to handle!!! I think I am stuck with it.

CURT 5th Wheel Hitch
This is the first time pulling a 5th wheel trailer. This hitch does a great job and I like how the plate swivels side to side when your truck isn't on level ground. I notice very little clunking as some people have wrote about on other hitches. The biggest problem is installing the side plates that the bed rails fasten to. It isn't as easy to put on the side plates as some sites lead you on to thinking it is. They do not show you every thing in the videos that are the problem spots. I am using this hitch on a 2013 Chevy 6 1/2 ft bed 3/4 ton pickup with the Duramax Diesel and Allison Trans pulling a 30 ft 5th wheel. And Yes I would recommend this hitch setup.

Clunky and Beat up, but worth the money.
I would give it 5 stars but it was so beat up when delivered,it is rusting all over the hitch, rails, everywhere. Would love a credit for the fact I have to look at a banged up hitch , but it's not worth the handling. Tows great. I does have and excessive clank when stopping at times. I've looked into this issue, and it appears to be common with this type of locking jaw. Plus the slider has movement. Just added more break to to the trailer and it is manageable.

Overall I am very satisfied.
the curt 16512 was exactly what I was looking for. This hitch had the height I needed to clear the tool box plus turning. The only thing was the installation of the rails. If you had a vehicle lift it would have made it easier. Overall I am very satisfied.
