Good construction, terrible hole drilling for screws to fit properly
Solid construction but some of the holes that are drilled are slightly too big for the screws provided. On some of them, the screw just kept spinning after tightening so I wonder how long the desk will last with that in mind. I used my own wall anchors because I didn't trust what came with it. My daughter loves it

Not as advertised.
Not what advertised. Screws show are not hidden as advertised. The desk top isn’t as think as the photo and is the same thickness as the other panels. Paint is more like primer. Wall anchors are dangerous.

Not impressed
It’s ok. Cheap. Some parts were chipped and you could board. If it wasn’t such a hassle would return.

WARNING: YOU ARE NOT GETTING WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PICTURE!
I chose this desk because I liked its simple and compact design which would have fit very nicely with its intended location in my house. I loved that it's a floating desk too, and the price point was spot-on.Unfortunately, the whole desk is a lie, a shameful piece of junk. The lowest-end Ikea desk is about five hundred light years ahead of this. I will be opening a return with Amazon right after I save this review. As you read my review, I invite you to refer to the photos shown on Amazon and compare, then take a look at the photos I've posted. The desk is flat-packed like any Ikea-type furniture. Along with the boards and some mostly-useless foam padding is a single letter-size sheet of paper showing VERY tiny diagrams of how to assemble the things (I literally had to make several photocopied enlargements so I could see what I was supposed to be doing) and a bag of extraordinarily cheap wood screws, and four equally cheap wall anchors. After assembly was over I had two screws left and I was able to bend one of the wood screws with my bare hands. The photos on Amazon very clearly show a wood grained finish on all surfaces of the desk. This is a lie. The entire desk is made of MDF — not even particle board — with very cheap shiny black laminate on MOST of the sides. (Several of the board ends are simply painted flat black.) I cannot imagine that this desk is even remotely safe to use. With a weight of nearly 50 lbs, not to mention the computer it's supposed to support (~5 lbs for a laptop, far more for a desktop/tower or AIO) plus the user's books and papers and such AS WELL AS the user him/herself leaning on it as he/she is working, supported by the world's cheapest wall anchors going through non-reinforced MDF? This is going to fall off the wall in nothing flat.On the subject of quality control, there are several nicks and scrapes in the laminate throughout the desk. There are also two holes that were drilled into one of the side panels that absolutely do not need to be drilled there, clearly a manufacturing error. Also, most of the holes that WERE drilled were also filled with partially-removed MDF material. Before I could do any assembly I had to clean out all of those holes throughout the entire desk. Also, literally every panel was covered with manufacturing dust, to a point where I had to get out the Shop-Vac to clean things up before I could assemble it.There are pre-drilled holes where the wood screws are supposed to go. Inexplicably, the holes to insert the screw are countersunk — but the provided screws are pan head. With that in mind, take a look at Amazon's pictures and count how many visible screws there are. Now take a look at my pictures. Literally every single screw is visible, and brightly so.After I finished assembling the desk I noticed that the main desk surface was misaligned with the back of the desk. I partially disassembled things and discovered that this wasn't my fault. I had put the screws where they were supposed to be (in the provided holes), only in several places the holes were not in the correct locations. I had to loosen or remove several screws, line everything up by hand/eye, then put the screws back and tighten them up.The desk is SUBSTANTIALLY smaller than what you see in Amazon's pictures. Take a look at the size of the laptop they use, notice how the fully-opened lid is barely taller than the lowest side shelf. Now look at my picture and notice how the fully-opened lid on a comparably-sized laptop is about half the height of the unit. The leading corners of the desk as shown on Amazon are rounded. On the actual desk, they are not.The "bottom legs" of the desk as shown on Amazon are very short. On the actual desk, they are easily 3x longer. The top shelf of the desk as shown on Amazon has a very tall back panel that extends about halfway down the upper cubicle storage spaces. On the actual desk, that back panel is about half the height and only extends down about an inch.Speaking of those cubicle storage spaces, the ones on actual desk are RIDICULOUSLY smaller in every dimension than the ones shown in the pictures on Amazon. Of particular note is the depth of those spaces. The pictures on Amazon show those cubicles to be easily half to two-thirds the depth of the desk. On the actual desk they're more like one-third of the depth of the desk. This desk is nothing more than a cheap and probably dangerous toy. Under no circumstances should anyone buy this for anything other than maybe kindling for a campfire.
