REAPER 77006: Great Worm - Dark Heaven Bones Miniature

Exactly what I wanted...mostly. 4.5 stars.
I just received Dune Imperium card/board game and wanted a more substantial 1st player marker than what came in the game. I found this figure and ordered immediately.+ Arrived pre-primed.+ Easy to paint.> Base is small, so this doesn't stand up on it's own well. A wider base would have made this perfect.+ Easy enough to use a pointed screw, washers for weight, glue, and a plastic bottle cap from an energy drink I recently drank and I affixed the model to the black cap and then proceeded to add sand and paint.OVERALL:Great miniature with some very nice details (hopefully the paint and washes help highlight the details more) and not too expensive. Worth checking out.

Great detail. Nice price.
Reaper makes great minis. They are high quality and easy to prime and paint. I bought this and painted it up to be sand worm. I use it as a first-player token in Dune: Imperium and it works awesome!

The Great-But-Not-So-Great Worm
First off, this came exceptionally quick, like practically next day despite being ordered on standard shipping. So far I have developed a profound love of Reaper's line of Bone miniatures as they are quality made of durable plastic that's easy to clean and have amazing detail. The Great Worm (let's face it the darn thing is a PURPLE Worm just say it!) is a nice figure that is really dynamically posed and looks almost alive even when unpainted. From the little tumors dotted along it's body to the teeth and ribbing, this piece just looks like some kind of nightmare worm straight out of the deserts of Mongolia. That being said, I have one complaint about this figure. It's not the detail, not the material, not the price. It's the size. This thing is not that big, barely doubling the size of a standard "medium" miniature from a D&D set, and that the picture should feature another figure for scale. Disappointment in the size aside, I love this figure. It was a blast to paint and mount onto a base, easy to clean and prep, and still strikes terror into my game group when it is set on the table.

A giant worm for all of your RPG game scenarios!
This is a fine addition to the reaper bones line. It's big and grotesque, and thoroughly loathsome. This things is perfect for everything from D&D, RIFTS, Call of Cthulhu, or any superhero game.As far as painting goes, this is a standard Reaper Bones product. That means that it paints up pretty well with acrylic paints and you can skip the prier if you need to (though i still recommend using it if you 've got it).Like all Bones models, this does have some mold lines which are kind of annoying and the soft plastic makes it hard to remove them. But that's to be expected with a budget model line, and totally reasonable in my opinion.

Good miniature, much quality
Great quality, paint stuck very well. I was concerned at first about being too heavy, but it’s very well weighted

Awesome mini, a little small
Looks good, great to paint, but it’s a lot smaller than I expected, not a huge deal but if you’re expecting a gargantuan size purple worm for a D&D campaign this isn’t going to be it

Great mini! A blast to paint and highly detailed
Great mini! A blast to paint and highly detailed. Also, if you're looking to get into Mini Painting or are relatively new at it, this is a PERFECT starter mini. Great for learning wet blending/washes/dry brushing, etc. no gluing needed though there is a minor mold line running down the center and around the mouth. Nothing too difficult to get rid of.

Picked up for Dune and Dune Imperium board game
Painted mine to match the Sandworm on the cover of the Dune Board Game by Gale Force 9, I think it’s a great mini, but super glue a whiskey cork onto it, I used Redemption Whiskey’s topper with the cork cut off, now it’s perfect. So 4 stars, base should be bigger.
