This headset was very easy to connect with my phone
This headset was very easy to connect with my phone. Like all these headsets it should be handled gently. The earbuds magnetically stick to the ends, but they do not retract so the wires hang out with just a little sliding ring clip to keep them out of the way, so sometimes there's excess wire waving about and it's hard to find the dangling ear bud caught in my collarThe sound quality is usually good, although occasionally it goes funny while driving. I'm not sure if it is because I'm moving round while I talk, or because I'm briefly near an overriding radio signal (city bus, train station).I have to be on 24 hour call some weeks, so I just put the headset on and wear it all week. When the phone rings, it doesn't matter if it is stuck in a pocket or across the room, I can just touch the headset button and answer the call. For this reason it is great. The battery lasts a very long time. I've worn it 14hrs a day, talking on it at least 2 hrs a day, for a week without it running down. However, when it does say low battery, you have very little battery left, so if that happens early in the day it is inconvenient. With other models I tried charging them every night and they all stopped working pretty quickly, so I only charge this one when it says it is low and it has out-lasted all the others. Of course the first one I got was $20, and this one $60, so perhaps it is just a better headset. So, overall it's the best model of this type I've tried and I would get it again if the price is right

Nice, but lasted only 15 months and a little tight on a large neck
On the plus side: The sound quality is fairly good (not amazing, but just fine for podcasts, phone conversations, and casual -- not focused -- music listening). The volume gets louder than any sane person would likely want. Operation is fairly intuitive and Bluetooth pairing is simple. The buds fit my ears well, stay put, and do a good job of muting outside sounds. The mic picks up my voice reasonably well but does little to mute background noise. It recharges very quickly. On the negative side: Mine started malfunctioning after 15 months. It randomly refuses to turn on, particularly after being exposed to sweat during a workout. For a wearable headset that costs $70+ and is clearly marketed toward active people I would expect a longer lifespan and better sweat resistance. As other reviewers have said, the band is a skosh too snug for someone with a large neck (size 18); it doesn't actually occlude my carotid arteries but it feels about the same as wearing a necktie that's a tiny bit little too tight. Latency -- the amount of time it takes for Bluetooth to transmit to and from the device -- varies considerably, which is probably due to the version of Bluetooth used. When the lag time is long it leads to phone conversations that seem like those satellite link interviews on the news. You can't establish a rhythm for the conversation and you find yourself and the other person constantly & awkwardly halting and restarting. The only way to improve the lag time is to turn the headset off and back on again.I'll replace my dying HBS-810 with something of similar design but I don't know yet if I'll take my chances with another LG model.

Amazing!
This headset is the best LG stereo Bluetooth headset I have owned.- Decent sound although I find much cheaper corded (e.g. skull candy) earbud headphones to have better fidelity. Although it seems a little bit quieter than previous LG models, at least it doesn't crackle when playing bass heavy music like the generic knockoffs I've tried.- Excellent ergonomics with good button placement.- Low profile enough that when tucked under shirt it is barely noticeable.- Very comfortable. I forget it's around my neck unlike the newer LG models which have a harder, less flexible neck band this maintains the well-liked design of previous models. I'm glad I read the some of the negative reviews on the newer LG Infinim HBS-900 and HBS-910 as I was about to purchase one or the other until I realized they changed the neck band.- Retractable earbud system which so far has worked flawlessly.- Doesn't have a highly visible flashing blue light flashing for everyone to see like the older LG models (which I used to cover up with black electrical tape). Although it has a blue flashing light it is smaller and it is on the inside of the headset, which makes it just about unnoticeable.- Originally I thought the very thin speaker wires would not last very long since the achilles heal of all previous LG headsets I've owned has been the speaker cord. Ironically, despite this model having retractable speakers, the cord is thinner than on all previous LG headset models and yet it has lasted longer then all of them despite me extending and retracting the speakers multiple time a day. NOTE: I never let the speakers retract with a snap back into place, but always retract them gently.

I like it. It obviously picks up better when the ...
I am still learning the capabilities of the device, but so far, I like it. It obviously picks up better when the phone is within the near vicinity - I am estimating within 20 - 30 feet. The voice clarity is good when moving from room to room within that range, but the distortion will occur outside of that range. Music/Audio quality when listening to Spotify and such is also very good in my opinion. My only recommendation to the buyer is to keep in mind that any "in ear" device (ie ear plugs) will irritate after a period of time - keep them regularly sanitized and give your ears a long break from time to time!
