I am not a good hand sharpener, I purchased this item to sharpen lathe chisels and joiner knives which need to be sharpened at the same angle for multiple knives. The stone is OK, 800 grit but the blade holder does not have registration points so repeatability is nearly non-existent. after going through the agonizing process of getting the angle correct for three joiner blades I was ready to throw in the towel. On the plus side, the system works great for straight blade wood chisels because you do not have to readjust between chisels.

Very good product that does a nice job sharpening my lathe chisels. There are several attachments to help sharpen other tools. The item was delivered in a timely manner.

Received with a bent Axel or something. There is a significant oscillation in the grinding wheel. Maybe a mismounted motor? Anyway, I'm returning it ASAP.

This sharpening systems performs all the tasks I need to keep my chisels and knives sharp without paying for a name and a bunch of attachments I will most likely never use. The slow RPM allows for easy control of the task without damaging costly chisels and knives that are expensive to replace. High speed grinding tends to scare me as far as proper adjustment and removing material very fast. I just didn't have the hundreds of dollars to spend on a more robust machine. I haven't owned it for a long time but it is already making my carving experience easier and more productive with sharp instruments.

The motor slows down and barely turns the wheels. Apply any pressure at all on the stone and it stops. I have used this about ten times over the last two years.

my husband loved it and used it right away he said he really liked it and liked the idea of it being a wet sharpener. he does alot of sharpening and it was always by a small stone.

I thought that I was good with a stone or file but this produces an awesome edge. I highly recommend this product.

This is a great tool and works as good or if not better then the more expensive tools out there.
