PaistePST 5 Splash Cymbal - 8-inch

I was extremely skeptical of this purchase because it's one of Paiste's newer lines but in the same breath, knowing how they make cymbals, I knew it would be "consistent within the line". It's got a nice, breathy sound that pops in and gets out of the way fast, (exactly what you want a splash to do). Does it sound like my old Zildjian "A Custom" splash from my playing in bars days? No... I wouldn't even begin to compare the two. However, as I'm now doing original material with my band, I have to say this records well and I think I'd have a very tough time beating it for the price!

i knew this would be kind of cheap sounding but it was the only paiste 8” splash on amazon so i figured i’d try it, it sounds like it’s cracked, it has very little body and fizzles out, can barely hear it
