I bought a Stetson Frederick, 7 5/8, next size down would be too small so used liner n the sweat band. Bought this Cromwell in Xlarge, it fits perfectly.I have 2-3 'cowboy' hats. They are a little awkward. This brim is just the right size, Mama Bear's porridge I suppose. Mink color is better than black. Very nice, very happy, will wear this one more often.

This hat is well made and has the perfect brim dimension, 2.5”, big enough to protect my glasses from getting wet when raining or snowing, the brim is stiff, and so is the crown, it’s supposed to be a crushable wool hat but I wouldn’t intentionally crush this hat, I love the shape and style as it is. The hat came in a solid box and was well protected with the plastic air bubbles. I’ve had some hats come in a plastic bag, not cool, unless it’s a ski hat. I am a 7 3/8” and I ordered the large, it is ever so slightly snug, if you’re bigger than 7 3/8” then you may need an XL. I wear this hat constantly and sometimes forget it’s on my head, the front of the brim tips down slightly, the sides and back of brim are pretty flat.I wear this hat in town or in the woods, looks and functions great in either environment.

Great hat... just too big. The mink color is beautiful and I thought it was very good quality.I ordered both this Stetson Cromwell and the Stetson Men's Sturgis in Medium for my husband's Christmas gift. The medium Sturgis fit my husband perfectly but this medium Cromwell was too big. The Sturgis came in Cordova color and the Cromwell in mink color, Mink is a tad darker and less orange than Cordova. The Cordova color is a warmer brown where the mink is darker brown, I liked both colors. I think the mink Cromwell is dressier than the Cordova Sturgis.

Good hat, size runs small.Advantages: Good quality wool, well constructed. Lower crown and moderate brim afford protection without being too cumbersome in and out of vehicles and such. Warm and relatively light weight. Works for its purpose and in accord with its design, but not for extreme sun or hot temperature protection. Winter snow and rain are its forte.Disadvantages: Size runs small so deducted one star. Best to order next size up (for me from large to x-large), and then add band pad (available here on Amazon) if absolutely needed. Sizing may be small'ish because hat is treated with rain repellent and might shrink just that little bit as a result.If already have this style and want to keep even if a bit small, hat stretchers are not costly and also available on Amazon. CAUTION: If do use a stretcher will pop the hatband since it is just stapled together and fits tightly. But lots of good looking bands available at low price. Just takes a smidge (really just a drop) of clear fabric glue in a couple of places to keep the aftermarket band secure. Many committed hat-wearers (I'm one) generally don't like the original band of most "active style" hats (as opposed to the 'ribbon band" of more dressy styles) anyway, so often order a replacement band at same time as the hat.Good purchase if understand limitations, rapidly exiting inventories it seems.

Great quality hat and perfectly formed. Versatile style, goes well with rugged and formal attire. Great for any occasion or just daily use.Only con: I wished the hat band was real leather, not synthetic.

Very comfortable. Holds it's shape and the brim is the perfect width for me.

Hats can be a fashion challenge, more so for men, than women, I think. I see many guys with hilariously inappropriate head gear. The poor blokes could have avoided the fashion faux pas if they'd checked in with their wives, or girlfriends. before venturing out of doors. Traditional American toppers seemed to be limited to cowboy hats and ball caps. Europeans have many more options from Greek fisherman caps to berets. To my eye, these style imports look a tad pretentious outside of Greenwich Village or Hollywood Blvd. Add one more complication: head size. I see many men sporting a too-large hat seems to wearing them, and not the other way around. If you're a jughead, like yours truly, anything with 360 brim feels like you're wearing a beach umbrella on your head. Thankfully the folks at Stetson offer this well-made and affordable option with just the right amount of brim. The XL fits perfectly. And my wife tells me that she doesn't mind being seen with me in public.

Stetson is supposed to be a name of quality. This hat would be quite the thing for a 10-year-old cowboy. Not so good for my grownup cowboy. Too small in the crown and a really skimpy brim. One rainy afternoon wipeout of a hat!

El modelo es el que quería, llegó en excelentes condiciones, un sombrero muy bonito y práctico para uso de vestir o de trabajo , la medida sugiero pedir un poco más grande porque viene justo , afortunadamente es flexible y se adapta a la cabeza un poco apretado..

Great hat good fit. Keeps sun out of my eyes. Just need to remember its on my head when ducking under train doors.
