Grinder Stand

Well designed and easy to assemble. I noticed that the bottom bar had dents in it and thought it might have been shipping but the dents were in the same places and the paint was not damaged. It looks like it was done when the holes were stamped out.That said it caused no problem in the assembly and is just cosmetic. There’s several ways to mount the grinder to the stand but I chose to remove the rubber feet and drill out the holes in the base of the grinder. There’s a lot of adjustments in the mounting system for different grinders.This will make the grinder a lot more versatile in using and the base is very stable.

I love the design of this. Mostly the way the feet are. I have no place to stand with the three leg or the square bottom. I can stand naturally while grinding and buffing with this set up. The top mounting bars do not fit the Palmgren 8” grinders or buffers. I just welded some 14 ga 1.5”x 10” square tube on the top and it works perfect. Ordered a second for my 8” Grinder!

This is a bit more pricy than some of the others, but it's also much nicer.The finish is rather good. Assembly requires sliding the two perpendicular base pieces through holes at each end of the lower cross bar. Mine was a tight fit, not bad, but enough such that the paint rubbed and scraped just a bit. But the paint held on and held up well.Stability is much better than expected with a bolt together stand like this. Just make sure to snug up the adjustable foot pad bolts and don't extend them any further than necessary.All necessary hardware is included, including bolts to mount the grinder (two ways depending on grinder) and all holes are punched for standard grinder sizes.I have one complaint and two gripes. So here they are.My only complaint is this: If your grinder has a very flat base, there may be some interference with two of the assembly bolts. The two blue pieces have a center bolt that attaches them to the top of the base (see pictures). They are secured by a nut on top. The nut sticks just above the surface about 1/4" and may cause interference. If the base of your grinder is too flat, this will interfere. To correct this on mine I used several large washers on each of the 4 mounting bolts at the ENDs of the blue bars. This elevated the grinder high enough so that it fit nicely and has a good solid footing.Gripe number 1: The "feet" are large enough, but the leveling bolts securing and adjusting them are pretty small. Larger diameter bolts are not needed structurally, but they would provide better long term stability.Gripe number 2: At 5'10" the highest setting is about perfect and roughly the same height as most fixed base grinders. However, if you're very tall, you run out of adjustment. Extending the feet can help with this, but has a trade off with stability (see above).

Great stand .. was easy to build. Cracks me up when people say it needs wider feet . A bench grinder stand isn't meant to be rolled around its ment to be mounted to the floor . The "small feet " are insulation so you don't hear metal vibrating against concrete . Learn about your tools before you use them . Great product soon to purchase another to mounts my drill press too .

The stand appears to be of decent quality, only problem is that when the 8” grinder is on it will walk all over the place. You need to place your foot on one side of the base while working to try and keep it still. I have a variable speed grinder, if I keep it in a very low speed it won’t move as much.

This stand was just what I was looking for. Stable and out of the way. Instructions aren't so great, but you can just figure it out on your own.

Better than expected, well made and easy to put together even if instructions were not included. Adjustable feet so you can get this to sit perfectly level with no wobble.

Used this for a Delta bench grinder. Perfect fit for the grinder.Also Grease the pipes /stand prior to fitting them together. (Note : wipe off the excess grease). This will payoff in the future.
