the kids loved it!
Bought as a birthday gift for the 1 year old, appropriated by the 4 and 10 year olds. They played with this thing for the rest of the party. Dad and Mom said that the 4yo immediately started playing with it the very next morning and took it with her to school. The actual hamster was not loud, the children screaming at it for the rest of the day were too loud. Had to sequester them to the other end of the house. The 10 yo texted me the next day that she needed a talking hamster for her birthday. I can live with that. All in all, a big success. There is no volume control on the talking hamster and the volume control on the 4 and 10 year olds was not working.

Babytimes the Talking Hamster
Purchased for a one-year-old but, like so many toys, the grown-ups liked it, too! There are lots of sellers on Amazon for this or similar toys, but this one turned out to be a good choice. It had an average price, arrived on time and was well-wrapped in a plastic bag and a cardboard box. These toys don't sound just like a person, but most words can be understood. The "hamster voice" is adorable and would likely encourage a child to respond by saying something else.

The echo back is somewhat unclear And loud. I bought it to help my 2 year-old to start talking. At 1st it just scared him. It would be good for a toy but not something to teach someone to talk

Not as fun as u think
In theory it’s a fun toy that should motivate ur little one to talk, in reality it gets old real quick. The hamster has a loud high pitched voice n their isn’t any volume control.

SOO adorable!!!!
I love this little hamster!!!! It was a BIG HIT on Easter for my little granddaughter... she laughed so much in watching the hamster wiggle and repeat what she said... then there was this tender moment when she sat by the table and was putting her nose on the hamsters , then picked it up and gave it a big hug.. so beautiful.. I am so very pleased and happy I purchased this item... Just pop in the batteries and instant fun!!!
