The alligator clips are covered with a ribbon. So it wont hurt your baby. I wish the size was a little bit bigger because my baby is putting the whole thing in her mouth as soon as she gets hold of one. You will like most of the clips in the set except one or two. It contains 22 alligator clips, four hair ties and four tiny clutchers. Half pink and half ash in colour
