Rose Roofing Green Heavy Duty Shed Roof Felt with 25 Year Life Expectancy 8m x 1m Roll

As a total novice at DIY I decided to re-cover the leaking shed roof. I watched a you tube video of how to do it and ordered the felt and bitumen. Quick delivery, exactly as described. The felt was easy to cut to size with a Stanley knife. It also came with plenty of little roof tacks which was great. It looks and feels good quality - feels quite thick compared to the ones I saw in the DIY shop. it feels like it will weather well.I measured and cut the 3 pieces to size first. It all went perfectly, took me an hour and a half to cover a 7ft shed with 3 strips - I went over the roof apex rather then take it off and it looks good. My husband cringed as said not the way to do it but it looks fine. I got into a hot mess with the bitumen as put a bit too much on the first strip and got a couple of bitumen runs - rookie error 😊 but apart from that it looks great. Very pleased. I used a paint roller and tray and rollered the bitumen hence got it done so quickly. I also measured where the support beams were inside the shed roof and then quickly marked them on the felt with a dot of chalk, which made it easy to put the racks in the right place.

After an initial glitch with delivery and a great response from the company, the product has been very easy to work with, Cuts easily and re-roofing a shed went well. Cut the pieces first (measure twice and cut once) and allow the sun to warm them up. Roll the pieces and position them carefully unrolled, I secured with a clout nail as it has a tendency to slip on a sloping roof even with adhesive. Use a generous amount of adhesive, use protective gloves and old brushes. Unroll the pieces across the roof and secure at the other end with a clout nail. Get all the tools you need ready before starting!

Great quality, looks great. Easy to fit. I’m 72 and average at DIY but I fitted it and it took about an hour as I’m a perfectionist.

The product arrived as expected. Great service. It was easy to cut and install. The nails were included in the purchase. I ordered dark green but the colour is a paler green. If you want a dark roof then the black colour would work better.

Easy to work with fitted to my 6x8 shed and was exactly what I needed now all watertight again.

i worked with top quality roofing felt many years ago, this is not in the top quality bracket, having said that, it does the job ok. but use on a warm day, ( not a hot day) reason being, it will scar easily if any pressure applied. As will any roofing felt, but some hold together better than others.
