Forged in Ember: A Red-Hot SEALs Novel, Book 4

WOW, this series all came together in this last book. Love, villains, good guys, harrowing situations... Love the idea of Shadow Mountain. Hope we see more of it.

Mac is a gruff and foul mouthed SEAL commander. His men and others were caught in a never ending spin that they were the bad guys and had warrants out for their arrests. Amy's husband was murdered and the killer/s were still out there wanting to get rid of her and her children. Mac's gruff exterior covered his own insecurities about others. These two clashed lots. But when her boys were brought into the circle his soft side started to show. The NRO is the reason they are now being protected by the Arapaho warriors. And are new allies to combat the evil that wants to end the world as it is now. Mac and Amy will have many encounters to battle their ever growing feelings for each other. This is a fast read and answers are given.

Forged in ember by Trish McCallan is an excellent conclusion to a red hot seals novels. Jace 'Mac' McKenzie and his ST7 team have to take out the NRO before they can murder millions of people. Amy Chastain former FBI agent and widow of John Chastain FBI Special Agent with her two boys Are in search of a cure for the invasive and destructive element the NRO injected into them.The action, suspense, and thrilling conclusion to the series had me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed the interaction between the ST7 members and their ladies. This was a great series of books and I highly recommend the audio version with Luke Daniels as narrator. He did an excellent job in the last three books with the differentiation in voices as well as the inner monologue of each character. I found myself looking not only into Ms McCallan’s back list but Luke Daniels’ as well.

This was an action packed series, with vivid, full characters, an amazing plotline, and awesome endings in every book. Highly recommend!

I’ve been waiting for this one since book one and it did not disappoint! Navy SEAL ex commander Jace “Mac” Mackenzie is a woman hating growls grump of a man and Amy Chastain has been his weakness since the strong independent woman walked into his life. Amy is recovering from being kidnapped and raped, having her children taken, her husband killed, the betrayal of her brother helping arrange this and witnessing his assassination. Now she faces the loss of her children from the tracking drug injected into them to locate the SEAL team who were helping her. Mac is determined to find a way to save the kids and possibly the world as we know it if a secret group of richie riches are able detonate a clean bomb. This book is action packed, suspenseful, and steamy and will have you biting nails more than once. I’ve really enjoyed reading this series!

Trish McCallan can write. Really, really well. With humor, intrigue, fast-paced action and satisfying (& hot) romances Ms. McCallan's style keeps you glued to a book. Her heroes are alpha yummy while their mates are strong, intriguing counterparts. The paranormal aspects in this series, to my mind, are extremely well done and add another layer of intrigue to an already incredible set of stories.I discovered Ms. McCallan when I got one of her enovellas free. A smart marketing tool for Ms. McCallan. I've been hooked ever since that freebie.This whole series has been dynamite (including the novellas).After reading Forged In Ember, I reread the first three novels (multiple rereads) and the first two are still my favorites. Forged in Ember was probably my least favorite, but still a fitting conclusion to an awesome series. My least favorite because I really never warmed to Amy. The woman-hating Mac was more humorous to me than annoying, but Amy remained an uninteresting contradiction.I give this last installment of the Red-Hot SEALs series a 4 & a half stars and the first three each a 5.Ms. McCallan is an incredible storyteller who gives her readers well-developed characters within a carefully plotted, unique story. I wish her success with her writing career.

This is absolutely beautiful! This story solidifies how much a grumpy man can be so tender and loving and understanding! Absolutely loved this series and can’t wait to read others.

I find that I love Ms. McCallan's storytelling immensely. I could not put down this series. The only thing that was missing in the end was Wolf's HEA. No clue what happened to Jillian or, did I miss something? Trish, Please keep these well written books coming!

You can’t just read the one book. You have to read the whole series.Hoping to be able to read more about Wolf and his brother in the future

Mit Forged in Ember geht die Reihe zu Ende.Amy und Mac suchen verzweifelt ein Gegenmittel für das Zeug dass Amy‘s Söhnen gespritzt wurde und nach und nach deren Organe angreift. Gleichzeitig gilt es aber auch die Machenschaften der NRO zu beenden und den Namen der Seals reinzuwaschen.Die Spannung bleibt dauerhaft erhalten und es dauert bis zum Ende des Buches bis wirklich alles aufgeklärt ist. In diesem Teil geht es zwar um die Beziehung von Amy und Mac, die sich schon seit dem ersten Teil angedeutet hat, sie steht aber nicht im Vordergrund. Wolf bekommt auch viel Raum in dem Buch und der Leser erfährt noch mehr darüber was in shadow Mountain vor sich geht.An sich hat mir auch das letzte Buch gut gefallen, einen Stern ziehe ich trotzdem ab weil es ein paar Unstimmigkeiten gab, die mich gestört haben.Zb wird Brendon (Sohn von Amy) wie ein kleines Kind behandelt (ja er ist erst 11), obwohl er schon im ersten Band gezeigt hat dass er viel reifer ist (schließlich hat er ein paar der Entführer erschossen und überhaupt erst die Seals auf die richtige Fährte gebracht...)Und als Mac‘s Gehirn sich mit dem weltzerstörungs Gerät verbindet kann er Rollos per Gedanken runter fahren lassen, obwohl vorher sämtliche Elektronik auf der Yacht zerstört wurde...Deshalb 1 Stern Abzug

Great series can’t wait for the next book. A bit if everything, mystery, love, Operations. Read this books one after another and now eagerly awaiting the next Keep going Trish we still have Aiden’s story!

Just finished this book .loved the writing .the adventure .I would highly recommend these books .so we'll written a real page turner in only sorry I've finished them look forward to reading more from this author thank you from an abide reader the fast pace highly recommended these books always looking for new author to read try one of her books .you won't be disappointed.
