This is a superb book that provides detailed and informative images of the fabric and construction of beautiful Nipponese clothing. I've seen some of the V&A's collection of Nippon clothes and this expands upon and amplifies that experience but anyone with an interest should obtain this book!

A sumptuous book well written very informative.

The book is beautiful! Glorious photographs, interesting text--it's a feast! My in-laws lived in Okinawa during my father-in-law's career in the military, and Mom loves the gorgeous fabrics she encountered while there. It is all wrapped up and waiting to be opened. I think she will love it.
