Electric bikes need to be used regularly to keep the battery in good condition. With the onset of winter, I could not guarantee this regime. Buying this indoor trainer allows me to keep the battery in good condition whilst getting exercise in bad weather!The unit comes assembled except the front fork support which needs to be bolted on (all bolts supplied plus a spanner). Adjust the unit to your bike and lock with the side levers and off you go!I cannot say that it is silent because I have a mountain bike with "semi knobbly" tyres which do hum slightly on the rollers and create a mild vibration through the bike. Road bikes on this unit would be no problem so if you need a simple trainer without any tension resistance, this will do fine.B.

Description states the roller will fit a 24 to 29" frame and bikes with a 700c wheel. My bike is a 27" frame with 700c wheels. At it's full length the unit was too short by approximately 6cm.Instructions for returning the unit are not clear. Two options are given to send it using the Amazon supplied return label or contacting the seller for instructions. I made the wrong choice and returned it direct.In spite the description being inaccurate, I am at present out of pocket to the sum of £122.88 to return it to China.No hassle from the company on refunding the cost of the unit however.

Quality control issue? Due to a heart issue (worn out mitral valve) I was unable to use this until Feb of this year 2024 even though I bought in 2020. So after daily use (20 minutes a day) for 8 months of cardiac rehab, this happens! I'm 60, so not an Olympian by any stretch, add in the heart issue, I think I'd struggle to break a paper cup! If it hadn't broken I would say it's great.
