These are very nice brushes. One expects that from a culture that uses brushes to write. Only the price makes them something for beginners... and really, beginners will progress faster having brushes that behave well. The sharp tips return to points after wetting. The spring is very much like sable. I prefer synthetics because they won't be eaten if they left out for a season.

For the price, I really like these brushes. They have great snap and they hold plenty of water/watercolor to make painting watercolors enjoyable.The handle of each brush is on average 1" longer than other short handle brushes in my collection.The sizes in this set were quite different than what I expected. In the photo you can see this sets size 6 next to a Princeton Neptune size 6 and next to the Zen Art size 10 which is a more equivalent in size. The size 5 in this set is more like a size 8 Zen Art brush. I didn't have anything in my collection to compare the size 4 to. The size 3 was similar in size to a Princeton Neptune size 6. The size 2 was similar in size to a Princeton Neptune size 4. The size 1 and size 0 were just slightly bigger and slightly smaller than a Princeton Neptune size 2.Two bristles of the size 2 were damaged with the plastic protective brush covers but did not interfere with painting. The size 1 tip was also slightly bent because the plastic protective brush cover was pushed down too far but again this didn't interfere with painting. The brushes didn't shed a single bristle as I practiced brush strokes.I was hoping these would be a cheap spotter/detail brush set as recommended by Anna Mason and while they will not work for that purpose I am still pleased with my purchase and would recommend them for newbies.

These brushes are actually pretty good. Much better than I had anticipated. They keep a very nice point and hold water quite nicely. They are nicely balanced and not heavy at all.I would recommend them for a beginner without a problem.

They’ve lasted me a long time, paint on the handles hasn’t chipped or cracked either… bristles has stayed very nice

I love these brushes! The clear- handled brushes are stunning and there's a good amount of variation in brush size.

Loved the color of these brushes and the variety. They are easy to hold. They even keep a great point. The big problem I had tho is that they don’t hold a lot of water or paint. It was hard to even do detailing on small paintings. For that reason I don’t recommend it

Me encantaron, el precio buenísimo y su funcionamiento, muy bueno. Sus cerdas absorben la cantidad correcta de agua para acuarela. Los recomiendo al 100%. Además de que vienen en una caja muy linda.

Los pinceles son hermosos, pero no sé porque algunos si no la mayoria me vinieron con las cerdas pegadas, aun no las he mojado para ver si solo fue algo que le pusieron de protección. Los pocos pinceles que no vinieron así, fueron los mas delgaditos y tienen las cerdas muy suaves y flexibles. Vienen con mucha protección.Espero tener oportunidad pronto para usarlos y ver que las cerdas de los demás pinceles si se muevan.

I was not expecting great quality for such a low price (I paid around 16 canadian) but I was pleasantly surprised. These are well constructed, the crimps on the ferrules are tight. The hairs on the brush have a generous belly and hold a lot of pigment, while the tips are well pointed. They're easy to shape back into a point after each use and havent lost any hairs yet. (I've been using them for a solid week. ) The handles are longet than most watercolour brushes, something to consider if you carry your brushes in a pallet.Time will tell how they hold up; i take good care of my brushes and never let them sit in water. But im impressed so far. Also, the box they came in is pretty solid and makes a decent little storage case.My only reason for not giving a full 5 stars is because some of the hairs on a couple of the brushes were bent backwards when the tip protector tubes were put on, ideally more care would be taken in this.Thankfully it was only 2 brushes and i was able to trim off those outer hairs without ruining the integrity of the brush.

Me encantaron. súper buena absorción de agua. cerdas suaves solo lo suficiente, a parte de bonitos me encanta como fluyen. Los súper recomiendo!!!!!

Estos pinceles son simplemente hermosos, si es tu primer juego de pinceles y no buscas cubrir superficies demasiado bgrandes puede que tardes un rato en comprar más , ya que la variedad de tamaños es muy buena. No los recomiendo si te molesta manchar demasiado la parte de madera, ya que al ser de un tono tan claro las manchas son más evidentes.
