NUXSteel Singer Drive pedal overdrive effect pedal with the tonal character of the boutique amp from California

In short, it’s a low/mid-gain drive pedal that leans more toward low than mid. If you’re looking for super crunchy metal-style distortion, this ain’t it. If you’re looking for drive that it’s at the point of break up (and just a smidge more if you want it) but not so distorted that you lose the clarity of tone, this is it.As others have said, the volume is lower than expected, but put it at 10, and it’s fine. I’ve paid a lot more for less. Still sounds great when you roll the guitar volume back—in fact, for the new guys, it gives you even more control over the tones. I sometimes stack it with my Keely Phat Mod, and it just gets better. 100% would recommend for anyone who wants a low gain pedal with plenty a punch. You absolutely can’t go wrong at this price. In the end, tone is in the ear of the beholder, but I love this pedal.

This pedal is a great sounding amp pedal which obviously harkens to the drumble steel string swinger amp ( names have been altered to protect those who can’t afford the real amp ) I love the tonal range of this overdrive ( soft clipper ) my only criticism is that the knobs don’t feel too sturdy on this pedal. I have other nu x pedals with quality knobs. But these knobs are part of the damble amp look so I guess that is what they used for this pedal. The knobs look appropriate but would not hold up to the riggers of a touring musician. I only use this pedal for recording so I don’t have a real problem with the wobbly knobs .... otherwise I would have given the pedal a 5. Great sound for a very reasonable price.

awesome sounds coming out of this dumblelike pedal...think SRV ,,no tube creamer anymore..this pedal does it BETTER..wouild def buy again..heavy duty

I've been interested in some of the Dumble clones for a while and being a NUX fanboi, I thought I'd give this little guy a roll. Out of the box, it looks a lot like some of the other Dumble type pedals. The knobs were a let down. Cheapy plastic that feel kinda loose. A bit surprising because every other NUX product I have is rock solid quality.The sounds for me aren't exactly what I was hoping for. With the gain turned down all the way, there's still a quit a bit of gain going on. I rolled back the volume on my guitar and that cleaned it up and it sounded good. I've got pretty high end guitars so your mileage may vary doing that.Going for more gainy tones the thing sounds good and definitely has a flavor different than the other OD pedals on my board. Go to the youtubez to get some ideas. I pretty much keep the gain at 0 with it. Adding a fuzz pedal in front got me some good EJ type tones.

I added this to my board based on reviews. It works great and has a different tone from what it's trying to clone but it works for me.

It lasted 2 weeks and quit working,don't buy.

Lo volvería a comprar. Es un tubescreamer que en combinación con una Strat es ideal para tocar blues. Pero no tiene nada que ver con otros pedales dentro de la categoría de pedales basados un un "Dumble".

Rather a long shot off a recommend presents for a guitarist list 2023… bought by a non guitarist too.My guitarist partner was so impressed by the pedal and the price is so affordable. Nothing to lose (hardly) to put this pedal through it’s paces…
