OspreyDaylight Duffel Bag

I got this bag during the raining season because it was flooding really bad in our area and I wanted to have something to use for emergency evacuation. I love this bag. It's super sturdy, lots of space, lots of pockets. The straps are comfortable to wear as a backpack. I love the clip rings to clip carbines to. I also used this on an airplane family trip and the measurements are perfect as a carry-on. It's also pretty water resistant. I spilt my coffee on it by accident and nothing got wet. The only thing I don't like is the side pocket for water bottles. It's at a horrible downward-angle so if you're wearing the bag as a backpack your thermos is going to slide right out. I honestly don't know why they made it that way (or why to even have one). Very happy I got this.

Typical of Osprey, this is a high-quality and well-made bag. It's great for the gym, traveling, or anything where you need to put a bunch of stuff and carry it around.My only complaint is that it does not include a shoulder strap, which I had to buy. I stuff a lot of things in this bag, so a shoulder strap makes it easier to lug around.But other than that (and a warning to anyone buying it), it's one of the best duffels out there at this size.

I love that I can wear this as a back pack or a duffel bag! Great size for a weekend trip! Just the right number of pouches!

This bag can hold a LOT of stuff. There aren’t a lot of compartments, but the build quality is there. I like that it can be used as a duffel or a backpack, too; makes it great for travel.Highly recommend if you need an everyday type of bag. The lack of additional compartments is my only quibble, and it’s a minor one at that.

Replaced my decade old leather duffel bag with this lightweight alternative. Love Osprey products.

Seems like a sturdy product. I used it to transport a wicked edge knife sharpener and several GUARDED knives. Transporting them after sharpening was a problem as one knife cut right through the side of the bag and into my leg. Use some common sense when packing this bag and it should last you a very long time. The bag has no form of its own so it will take whatever shape you pack it with. This aspect makes for a very compact fold-up but it will be lacking if partially packed with heavy items.

I gave up on Osprey after buying enough products that didnt match up to the image they were selling, whether because of false (AND STUPID!) color choices--like blue for black and green for grey--or material quality--the appearance of thick padded nylon coming back as this scrunchy wad of a bag, some of which I put holes in with there FIRST USE! I can confirm this bag is BLACK(!) as advertised and made with a good solid cushion, much like the porter series (which is a solid product). Really stands out from what, in my opinion, is the horrible design of other bags in the daylite series.

The Osprey Daylite Duffel 45 is an incredible bag that is now my primary travel carry-on bag! It packs a lot of stuff and you can quickly adjust the straps to whatever style you want to carry it: duffel, backpack, or a shoulder! I was also able to pack enough for a 9 day trip - 7x pants/jeans, 3x shorts, 7x t-shirts, 2x dress shirts, toiletries, and enough socks/underwear with a bit room to spare! I also found that my clothes weren't shifting around the bag and losing their shape throughout the trip no matter what method I was carrying it. You can also align the zippers together for all 3 openings and use a travel lock to secure them! I'm really happy with this bag and highly recommend it to anyone that wants to travel like a ninja! Also, the bag packs down nicely for storage when not in use (see my review photos).

The bag is very high quality, great design and very well made. The zip fastening allows access to the entire contents without having to pull everything out. The adjustable rucksack straps mean you have both hands free while carrying. It has 2 exterior pockets for storage of frequently used items. It's a perfect size for all my open water swimming kit, but isn't too big. It seemed a bit expensive but you are getting what you pay for. I love this bag.

Osprey is a good brand and we were happy to see it here a little bit cheaper than the sports stores. To be fair, my husband got his from Amazon since he had a gift card and I got mine from Costco which was only 84.99. The barcodes and item numbers were the same regardless of where we bought the bags from.Anyway, it's a light bag when empty. Adjustable shoulder straps, we found them comfortable to use at the airport. Didn't use it in duffel mode much. We used the carrying straps at the top and bottom of the bag when not using it as a backpack. There is a side pocket, great for putting cables and chargers. I stuffed the ziploc with liquids in the top pocket. I like that the zipper to main compartment is against your back so you know that no one is going to rifle through your things while you're wearing it. The seams seem to be very good, I didn't worry that they would break. I packed enough for 4 days, including a pair of shoes and still had enough room to put my laptop and the laptop bag in it for the trip home. It fits nicely in the overhead.
