Color:Kāne The Legends of Hawaii are found in the land & culture where Tiki Gods watched over the land and protected the family. Island traditions say Hawaiians built many heiau (temples) and placed offerings on specially constructed altar-like towers. Most offerings were edible and wrapped in ti leaves to keep the evil spirits away which give rise the that fabulous tiki culture and the festive luau celebrations. Today luaus are lavish celebrations of tradition to unite old and new friends in an extension of the family relationship. Tiki Gods are the center of the grand celebrations. Decorative But Can't Actually Be Used As A Mug
I bought this for a tiki enthusiast as a birthday gift. Coming out of the package, it certainly looks gorgeous. But when a drink was made in it, liquid poured out of 4 holes. My friend actually wondered if it was a gag gift! Way too expensive for something that can't actually be used.
