Ordered new Mercruiser pump housing, came with impeller and plate - a real bonus!

For the money this is a good kit, the housing and impeller is pretty much the same as the OEM.However do not use the bolts that are provided (or certainly those I received) they are just not manufactured correctly, using them will guarantee either one of two things, it will leak, or you will break the housing tightening them up. The problem is that they are too long and the thread are not machined long enough so what happens is that when you tighten them up it doesn't pull the housing tight enough to the metal plate or to the metal drive unit. The bolts being long isn't the real problem, they did not machine the tread part long enough, so it doesn't pull the two surfaces together properly. So long bolts short thread is not going to clamp it together properly. USE THE ORIGINAL OEM BOLTS it solves the problem.

Great quality and precise fit. I am pleased with the outcome and sucks water like you wouldn't believe! Drains a 5 gallon bucket in seconds if I Rev over idle.

Quality, correct replacement part. Impeller is made better than OEM part, more blades, with brass insert. No issues with installation, boat runs cool 160*f.

Probably got 1 hour of runtime before the impeller came apart and cracked the housing. The core of the impeller is plastic compared to the metallic one that I replaced. Should have spent a little more to get OE or Sierra brand.

Under minimal use this pump has melted and the impeller chewed up. It's very cheaply made. Do not buy.
