I will not belittle the path of the SRF but ...
I will not belittle the path of the SRF but find it unfortunate that they try to suppress the spread of Kriya outside of their organization. This text was written by Yogananda and published in 1930 by the Yogoda Sat-Sanga Society, an Indian organization founded by him in 1917. It teaches 3 techniques: 1. Kriya Proper "to magnetize the spine...thereby withdrawing the life current from the senses and involuntary organs..." 2. Maha Mudra "or body-electrification and spine-straightening method...to loosen the vertebrae and distribute the obstructed life current into the organs." and 3. Yoti Mudra "the purpose [of which] is seeing the light by your own effort, or finding guidance through the spiritual eye."The text is a copy of the original document, not an OCR and is both clear and nearly intact. It is missing one diagram for Kriya proper which shows the location of the chakras for his second variation, but this is readily available online. I'm very thankful that this is being republished and at an affordable price. It makes the Kriya path much more accessible and many who walk through this door are sure to seek further guidance from the SRF or find the right guru somewhere else on their path.

A Powerful Guide to Kriya
This is a short pamphlet, 18 pages, by a well-known yogi, Paramahansa Yogananda. This booklet is significant because when it was first printed in 1930, Kriya Yoga was virtually unknown to the world. This gem is still the best introduction of Kriya Yoga. The best feature about this pamphlet is that it provides a clear, unambiguous, definition of Kriya Yoga and a cogent explanation of what Kriya Yoga seeks to achieve. Most books link Kriya Yoga to pranayama, breath control, and emphasize the yoga postures. According to Yogananda Kriya Yoga is concerned with the maintenance and development of the spine. It is through an erect spine that the cosmic energy of the universe can be channeled to the aspirant and encourage the ascent of the kundalini. To me this immediately makes more sense. The Art of Super- Realization contains other definitions, meditation postures and Kriya techniques. What this volume lacks in page number, it excels in informative insights. Highly recommended.

Advanced Rare Edition
You should have some foundation in yoga, prayer and more before doing this.I recommend at least reading “the yoga of Jesus Christ” first.I would say you should do the lessons series and yogoda series first too though.

Beautiful version of Kriya
Yes, Yoganandaji wrote this booklet. I have seen the original and this is an exact replica, except for the cover, of the original. Thank you sir for publishing this beautiful gem of a booklet. I am the person that wrote the review for the original that you quote in the description.

Meh
There's some interesting information from Yogananda in the back of this book--and I mean, like, the last few pages. But the majority of it consists of bad poetry about American pop icons--poetry from the author, not Yogananda. Very strange. The book is only a few pages to start with, so, I don't know. Just strange. But I did give it a couple of stars for the limited info it has in the back.

A jet plane yoga
This book was very helpful but what is lacking is the guidance of a Sadguru to help in the regulation of such a powerful yoga. Kundalini is involved so get yourself a master such asYoganandaji to help you.

A gem.
Very early explanation of a particular technique which currently you only get by aplying for formal membership, under vows of confidentiality.Very instructive to get you acquainted with the Master's personal approach to teaching in his early days in America. Very accesible cost.Wilfredo Adames

one important difference
actually there is more than one difference between this and the current methods proposed by the srf and other similar organisations. Read it carefully. The keywords are 'elliptical' and 'circuit' in respect of the movement of prana. Most these days teach circulation up and down inside the spinal column, (as opposed to 'elliptical ' taught in this booklet) and that does not create a circuit! ... the clue is in the word circuit deriving from circle, i.e. 'circulation' of prana. As another reviewer remarked, the SRF should go back to its origins, but of course they won't.

A gem, which came to my attention just when needed. It works for spiritual development, if obeyed to the letter and in the right spirit. It leaves me with profound gratitude for Paramahansa Yogananda and all those who enabled the publication of this book, relatively thin, but big in content.

This book has approx 18 pages
Main title (for what book is meant for) content is of approx 18 pages only, and they joined some other irrelevant story book with it. Selling at huge price (but no doubt those 18 pages have the good content).
