The Perfect Hug (Classic Board Books)

Yikes! I’m kind of surprised this book has such good reviews. It really doesn’t flow well at all and is seriously hard to read out loud. There are some lines in the book that feel like they were just added to meet a page count. I am sad the bookends that the only perfect hug is from another panda. Feels like a missed opportunity. I wanted to add another star because the illustrations are really cute, but it’s just really poorly written and I can’t get past a children’s book with simple punctuation mistakes.

Hate to be the odd man out, but I'm not impressed. The flow is kind of awkward for starters. While the pictures are fun and my toddler enjoys the book, the ending kills me. Our panda goes around saying the hugs from other animals are all wrong, and in the end only hugs from another panda is perfect. Maybe I'm reading too much into a kids book, but I just don't love the message. Two stars for the illustrations.

My little one loves a good bedtime story, but this is not a fave. I think maybe it would be more fun to read / hear aloud if it rhymed more.

This is one of our favorite books! All three of my kids love it. It's really fun to read and the pictures are adorable. I don't understand the reviews about it not flowing well. This is one of my favorite books to gift as well. Everyone enjoys it.

Great book...but packaged with other items and the front had part of the finish and color rubbed off the book.....I should have returned it. It is not prepackaged....thus rubbing on other items in the package...ruined the finish. Not happy to receive it in that condition. I needed it for a baby shower within a day of receiving it. I had to stop at a Barnes & Noble on the way to the baby shower to get a new book for the shower.

This book is cute but I find it kind of hard to read. The words don't roll off your tongue very easily in some places. I'm finding that it's getting easier with some practice but it's definitely not my favorite book to read to my daughter. It's also too long to keep my daughter's attention. She may enjoy this book more when she's a little older. Hopefully by then I'll have mastered how to read it well.

Product I received looked used. Cover was scarred and the binding had obviously been opened more than once. However the pages were stuck like glue! I had to use my fingernails to pry them open with much difficulty. Very disappointing first impression.

The media could not be loaded.  My daughter absoultey loves this book! It’s such a cute book about finding the perfect hug. The writing in it is super sweet. Highly recommend! It’s one of our most read books!

Nous avions reçu cette histoire en cadeau et notre fils l’aime tellement que le livre est endommagé. En avons acheté’ un deuxième pour que son petit frère ait aussi la chance de connaître ce livre.

Very sweet and cute. Nice short bedtime story for young children. Illustrations are colourful and visually pleasing.
