4392067 Dryer Repair Kit Replacement Parts Compatible with Whirlpool, with 279640 Idler Pulley, 661570V drum belt, 8536974/W10314173 Drum Rollers

So I have hey whirlpool Duet 27 in electric dryer and I've had this dryer currently for 14 years. Almost everything in this replacement package was perfect for this dryer. I was struggling at the time to find something that would work for this dryer. So when I came across this replacement kit I thought for the price why not get it and give it a whirl. The roller Wheels we're perfect now the dryer is very quiet. That was the main reason for getting this kit. Then I was able to also replace the belt which mine currently was missing one rib on it. So over the course of time it broke down and disintegrated. On The Idler Wheel I was not able to use the one in the kit for the reason the bearing inserts on it we're just a bit too big for the original part. So I cleaned up the old one and greased it up and reinstalled it. The only drawback to this entire kit which was not very impressive was the fact the Little Triangle clips are made of a brittle type plastic. The original OEM clips are more flexible and don't break as easily. So in the removal process I carefully took them off and reuse the original clips to hold the wheels on. I really wish those new clips were more flexible and you can see that in one of the pictures I added to my collection here. It was one of several that broke during installation. Other than that this kit was pretty close to being a perfect replacement for my old dryer which I've replaced countless Parts on over the course of many years. The rollers and pulley are great. Problem is, this particular Whirlpool Cabrio requires 6 rollers. The belt with the kit is a bit shorter than the Whirlpool W10849499 belt. I'm going to order 2 more rollers and put the original belt back on the unit when I put it back together. Hopefully, the rollers and pulley corrects the squeak. If not I'll get the original equipment belt (which costs about twice this kit). We'll see what happens.Update: 21Apr2022.I received the 2 extra rollers and everything fit great. For 'gits and shiggles' I installed the belt that came with the kit (even though it's too short). It was able to fit (barely) but the idler arm was at maximum flex. I started the dryer and no, no, no, it did not like that. Needless to say, I reinstalled the old belt. All was well. The rollers and idler pulley seem to have taken care of the squeaks.Even though the belt was too short and I had to purchase 2 extra rollers, I'm upgrading to 4-stars. The kit did save me money since it came with 4 rollers and the idler pulley which were direct replacements.

This kit had a lot of parts to make repair on whirlpool dryer. Once I figured out how to take cabinet apart it was pretty easy to replace rollers. I believe the noisy issue was the tension pulley on the belt. I could hardly move it without the belt on. I had everything so I just replaced everything . Super easy. Thanks

The item description clearly states "The belt is part number 661570V and has the following specs: 4 ribs and 3 grooves, 93.5 inches long and 0.25 inches wide, please check before ordering." THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU GET. Useless sale, cost me a another day in getting my dryer working.

It took a week or so but the drum rollers are not round and are causing a knocking sound as the drum rotates. The out of round condition is clearly visible to the naked eye. Must be some inferior rubber used. Cheap probably made in China where they inspect everything they make but ship it regardless of the results. Poor quality is just that. Save your money and buy somewhere else.

This took a little doing, but the job was accomplished. Careful attention has to be paid to all the screws and bolts, some are not interchangeable. The dryer can not be heard anymore when running. It is recommended the one should clean the inside of your dryer of all lint and debris to prevent fires.

I used the drum rollers and some of the associated hardware, could not get the belt to stretch enough to fit so I stayed with my old belt. Maybe installers error? But arrived very quick and appears to be quality replacements. Only been a month but drum rollers are working well and did quiet the operation of the dryer some. Not sure what the term stretch means in the features?
