When I do such an in depth review, I'm going to get into the nitty gritty of fractional points. I'm giving this 4.8 stars. Read on to find the where I deducted two tenths of a point.First things first, The Nulaxy Top Fan Humidifier with RBG does exactly what it says it does. Your going to buy this product for a number of reasons, but the main is that it humidifies the room. This doesn't disappoint. Read on to learn about the unitSo let's talk features.Fan Speed (9 levels) / Noise- First off, there are nine levels of output so you have plenty of options to dial the humidifier into your preferred output. I didn't find the noise of the fan to be an issue; it's relatively quiet, though you do know it is on. I had this running in my home office and enjoyed listening to some music and never noticed fan, even at max output. What I did notice though is the bubbling of the water as the humidifier did it's work of breaking the water into small particles. I believe you'll find this with any cool mist humidifier.Mist Height (2' - 3')- Given that competitors tout their high-levels of mist, I had to measure. A simple yard stick measured that at max fan speed the humidifier was reaching heights of 3' with the majority of the mist coming in at just over 2'. This was measured at the point where the mist exists the humidifier. In order works, it's not from the base of the unit.Hygrometer (40% - 90% w/ 5% increments)- This is a nice feature of the fan. It works in two ways. The first is by telling you what the humidity of the room is, secondly, you can actually set the humidity level to what you want. So instead of controlling the fan speed you simply push the dial of the button, set the humidity, and let the humidifier do it's work.Color/Brightness (7 options)- A fun feature for those that like to spruce up their room. You can choose from 7 different colors: white, light blue, purple, light green/yellow, green, blue, and red.Timer (8 settings w/ 1h increments)- The timer works perfectly with settings from 1 - 8 hoursEase of use- The digital display is perfect and gives you information about the fan speed, humidity level, timer, what features are engaged as well as the temperature of the room. Setting the features is incredibly simple. The only "hidden" feature is setting the humidity level in which you have to push the dial to set it. It's simple to figure out and the instructions tell you how to do this.Cord Length- 5' w/ two prong plug. For me, it was plenty of length.Filling the Unit (minor improvement to call out)- This is super simple and a wide top means that you aren't going to spill anything. You have an opening of about 6" x 6" to fill with water. The opportunity for improvement here is some type of indentation or indicator as to how to get the lid off. It took me a bit to understand that you have to pinch the lid next to where the humidity exits and then lift. It's a bit odd, but now that I know, not a huge deal.Emptying the Tank (minor improvement to call out)- I couldn't quite understand that there are 3 parts to this unit: base, tank, and lid. It looks like the base and tank are connected; again, there's no indicator here or indentations to lift. My first attempt at draining the water ended up with water not only in the sink, but on the counter as well. I finally realized that the tank and base came apart (I re-read the instructions). At the same time the instructions don't have a picture. Before you fill it, disassemble so you know what to do before you put water in it.

Terrible machine. Terrible customer service. Buttons on machine are incredibly flimsy. I originally wrote a medium review of the machine, but seeing as the buttons have failed to work multiple times for DAYS at a time. I have decided to go back to my 1 star review.Customer service also attempted to BRIBE me to delete my review. When they told me they were switching manufacturers, i thought okay, great, they seemed remorseful and I figured, "well it DOES humidy my room, SOMETIMES" That I'd go ahead. But when I only have them a 3 or 4 star review they decided that that wasn't enough and would not refund my product unless it was a 5 STAR REVIEW. How am I supposed to give you 5 stars when the machine DOESNT WORK FOR DAYS AT A TIME. Awful.

One interesting thing worth mentioning is that we were also looking for a night light to help our kids with going to sleep. I looked into a few humidifiers here and there and felt that the price was right - there was no need to get a more expensive brand like Honeywell. One day after purchase and bam! It arrived. The first thing you'll notice after plugging it in and turning it on... is that it sure works! You can absolutely see the mist that ultrasonic humidifier gives off. This was encouraging as I was worried as to how much reach it would have in a room. The second thing you (and your kids!) will notice is how cool this thing looks in the dark with it's LED color options! You can see in my video a few color changes to get the idea. All in all... couldn't be happier with this purchase and I'm sure my kids (and their dry noses!) will appreciate it too.

Bought 12/15/20 and by 1/16/2021, the push-pad switches on the front and internal lights went toes-up. The fan was still producing a humidity stream, but no way of controlling it. Had to unplug the unit to reset. It's responding again, but who knows for how long?Update 2/1/21: Heard the unit shut off this morning. Woke-up to flooded side table and floor. Awful serviceability and obviously dangerous with electrical outlets and cords in area.Update 3/2/2021: Loud whirring sound coming from unit. Was able to cycle the on/off button to rare success. Had enough with this unit and took pleasure throwing it in the trash.

I have had this replaced, and the replacement is being returned. This runs like a champ, quiet with a wonderful output. However when/ if you have to empty water out of it, it pours out the bottom where the mechanics are located. This ruins the machine. Even when you are careful, water must get trapped in a reservoir in the base and it floods the mechanics. I wish this wasn't the case, because when it performs, it works fantastic.

I just filled it and when I put it in my living room water ran from between the tank and the bottom part. Poured out actually. It was filled correctly.I checked in the small compartment underneath and it got wet in there.I let that dry for about 24 hours and have just put the humidifier together. I put water in the tank and everything seemed ok until I took the tank off to close the small compartment on the bottom of the machine. Water flooded from the bottom of the tank.I can’t find the company to complain or I’d be shouting given how dangerous water and electricity are.This machine was doing really well until yesterday. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.I cannot find the company on Amazon now so maybe that says it all.

This is made in china and the quality is terrible.Broken after just 2 months.While it was working it constantly beeped, reset itself and reported the wrong humidity and temperature levels.I would avoid this and pay for a good quality one made in a better country like Taiwan or Europe/America.

This was in my baby’s room it leaked everywhere all into the device and water was dripping from it please do not order it’s not safe as it’s a device that stays plugged into an electrical socketIt has to be taken down this site

I've had mine around 3 months and it's been fantastic. But after running it on full today the water has dripped into the fan and its broken. Not the best design. It's definitely good when used on a lower setting though

The humidifier worked perfectly and It was really really good but It stopped working after 1 month for no reason even though I was carefully following instructions of use.
