I like that it is light but mostly actually does what it says it brightens and even out your skin a plus for me is that it has also has lighten my dark spots as well

I bought this product because truthfully, it was a great price; and a double pack. Upon other reviews I decided on the pineapple because of its brightening qualities. I’ve been using it a few weeks now and I do see a brightening of my skin with a lessening of my dark spots. But I’m not 100% sure yet if it’s because it’s the winter months and I don’t have a tan. Time will tell. I gave it a 1 star review for the scent because I find it awful. The scent is mild and fruity. Not bad at all. The thickness is very watery but it does have a slight foaming action and covers well so you don’t need a lot which will make the product last longer. I use a quarters size for my whole face and neck area and it covers well. It also doesn’t dry out your skin. It’s sheer as well but like I said, it does cover well. All in all if scent isn’t an issue for you and you like thinner, more sheer products that cover well and does its job, then I would recommend this product. I also would buy it again. You get a product that will last and you can’t beat the price.

I started using this facial wash about a year ago and I love it! I'm 56 and my skin has never looked better. It's smooth, soft & even toned. The best part is, it's not greasy & feels great on your skin!

I little concern about the amount of alcohol in the product, but is good.

I am really surprised this product doesn't have more raves! I think it's pretty awesome, especially at what I assume will be its price point (as a Garnier drugstore product). I don't usually care for Garnier products in general, but I ordered this for my daughter to try. I opened one tube to try for myself so I could write a review, and wow! I immediately loved it! This face wash has Vitamin C and pineapple, both known brightening agents. It feels good to use and has a light scent, and it lathers into a kind of thick foam. From the very first use I could feel its light exfoliation. It isn't too harsh or strong, so it doesn't make my skin too sensitive, though I have been careful about not using another exfoliating product after using this because I do have sensitive skin. This face wash makes my skin feel and look clearer and brighter without irritation. I absolutely love using it. What I don't love is that it is made by a company I don't really like or trust. Garner is famously not cruelty-free. They boast about this particular product being vegan, but animal parts never belong in skincare, anyway. I will give them some credit for using recycled plastic for packaging, and I appreciate that this face wash contains no mineral oils, parabens, sulfates, or dyes. I think maybe they, as a company, are trying to change. I hope those changes are more than skin deep, pun intended, and reflect some real earnest change for the future operations. But they still have a good way to go before they can be considered "cruelty-free". I will continue to use the tube I opened and give the other one to my daughter. I really hate that I love the effects of a product I cannot recommend, but if you've read this review (and others), you can decide for yourself whether or not this is a face wash you want or a company you want to support.I hope my experience with this product might help YOU make a more informed purchase. I don't know about the brightening, but it is a really good cleanser. I've been using this for a bit over a week, and I haven't really seen any changes to my skin as far as bright and even, but I do like this one better than some of my other cleansers.I have oily skin, but in the winter I'll get dry patches, and my skin is also sensitive and I have multiple allergies to certain products. I'm in what can be described as my winter skin routine, everything is starting to dry up, while I'll maintain a t-zone, I will start getting dry patches on my cheeks, chin, and neck.There are some cleansers I can't use this time of year because it will dry my skin too much, so I save those for summer. This one I wasn't sure about when I got it, I expected to have a bit more warm weather before the cold came, so I haven't been able to test summer type use, but I was sure this was going to end up a summer use product.After using this product, while my skin has been drying out, I can say this will be fine for winter. It cleanses nicely, it doesn't dry out my patches, there is no residue, no allergy issues, and most importantly, no sticky weird smell, which I hate in cleansers. As for changing the texture of my skin, I've noticed I can get a bit further between exfoliation treatments, which I try not to do more than twice a week or my oil acts up. Typically I get three or four days and my skin will start feeling rough, like I need to exfoliate, but I'm actually about six days in, no exfoliating, and my skin is not rough. I buy a lot of different cleansers, some of them pricey, some drug store brand, all serve their purpose, but this is likely going to replace my pricey go to bottle over the winter.
