This saved me from returning it.Pros:You can make beanies in about 15 minutes.Quick to learn if you use YouTube videos. The directions are useless.You can use most thinner yarn.Easy to make long panels that can be crocheted together.An make infinity scarves or head bands. They are very wide, but cute!Cons:Counter stopped working accurately after a few uses. (Many people report this is well). So now have to count out 120 rows which gets annoying.Gets clunky if you use anything but thinner yarn.Drops stitches in about 1/3 of beanies made so you have to start over.Cannot use fun, thicker yarn.Overall, it is great, but there may be better quality machines out there. But for the price it is worth it for the casual beanie maker.

It won't knit any yarn that is a thicker #4 yarn but it does knit a thick 3 or DK. But you have to make sure that your yarn fits nicely into the yarn feeder nipple or you will skip stitches for sure. I know, it happened to me to many times before I figured out what the problem was. It not only is the machines fault-- and they should add that on to the instructions-- andddddd it is also a case of operator failure- meaning me--Once I figured out how to work it and what the right tension is for certain yarns I haven't had any problems with it. It makes hats a whole lot faster than I can make them by hand. I'd say it's worth the money.

I made a hat the same day I got the machine. Very easy to thread and use. As fast as I make a hat someone grabs it ...I am very satisfied with this machine. Also as a side note I'm 72 years old...old dogs can learn new tricks!

Terrible machine quality control. The machine will even bind up while trying to rotate without any yarn in it. It seems like the handle is loose which is causing it to bind, but there's no adjustments to tighten this and realign the gears.Very disappointed we have to go to a UPS store to return - wasn't given a label or option to schedule a pickup. I absolutely adore this thing! It's fantastic. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to purchase. However, I would strongly encourage you to read and follow the instructions. It'll save you a lot of headaches.

A great cheaper choice. Works just as well as a more expensive option. All plastic so just need to be gentle.
