Handwarmer Mug, Mystic Waters - Left, 14oz

I was hoping when I gave this as a gift that it would be better insulated.The person I gave it to, loves it and thinks it is the coolest mug he has; he also burns his hand every time he uses it, because hot beverages keep the pottery HOT and the handle is more like a covering around the actual mug.A good way to think about it is to pour a hot beverage into your favorite “coffee” mug and then grab the mug (not the handle) and lift it to drink. Now imagine pottery covering your hand so as to trap the heat in.So I am thinking great for an iced drink and horrible for hot.

The first two of these I bought from a country store. They are so pretty. I bought one for myself and one as a gift. November in WNY gets cold and its so nice to be able to warm your hands with a delicious mug of hot tea. If the liquid is too hot to hold like a handwarmer then just hold the outer curve almost like you would a regular mug until it cools enough. I love that they come in left or right handed. My left handed friends are grateful that they have a mug special for them! Such beautiful earthy colors and no two are quite alike. If you buy one as a gift don't forget to stuff it with packets of your favorite teas before boxing & wrapping. My personal favorite is Stash's strawberry pomegranate tea.

I absolutely love this mug - I searched for quite awhile before I came across this one and was glad that I waited. It’s durable, heavy, and well made. I was sadden though when my 4 year old chucked her fork into the kitchen sink, because it chipped off a chunk too large for me to glue back on. I ended up buying another one to replace it and make a mental note to keep it on the counter when I’m done with it.

It's really pretty! The handwarmer section isn't very deep (I have small hands), so I often feel like I need two hands so I don't drop it. It's a little annoying to clean and to stir, because things get trapped under the section for your hand. It can also get really hot, so I usually have to carry it very carefully for the first 5-10 minutes, because I have to hold it outside the handwarmer section. But it's a good size, looks nice, and I really like that they make it left-handed!

Very nice handmade mug! I have Raynaud's Syndrome, which causes blood restriction in my fingers... warmth is an absolute must! These mugs are wonderful for it. One hand fits inside the little popout, and the other wrapped around the outside = instant warm. What a wonderful relief! I don't "do" coffee, but I use mine for tea and soup. Beautiful glazing, too. Comes right- or left-handed, although it doesn't matter for me, since I wrap both hands around it anyway.The seller got it here (all the way across the country!) in an amazingly short time! Can't beat the quality and service. Would make great gifts for anyone with chilly hands.

I liked the design of the mugs...made by hand...design options...color options...and of course hand options...right or left...we have two southpaws in the family...they are gifts that will be given in about a month...but know they will like them....

I bought this for my boss who has issues with her hands always being cold. She loves this mug. She uses it every day at work. She actually bought a mug for her sister because she loved it so much. Did I mention she is the hardest person to by ANYTHING for and she loves it.

Love this mug, but just be sure to let your drink cool down a bit before putting your hand in the nook, as it gets really hot in there!
