Good, reliable, easy to use model making compound
I use this product all the time.It is an air dry rubber compound that covers items that you want to make cast copies of.So, if you have a small clay figure that you would like to make multiple copies of in plaster, you can use this compound to cover it, dry, and then be used as a plaster mold. The compound is very good at picking out details in the original model. The process takes a while. I work a full-time job, and, when producing castings, I usually try to put a coat on in the morning and then just before bed. To cover an item the size of a small figurine, it usually takes me 5-7 days of application. The first few coats are the most important as it is important to cover the complete surface of the item that you are trying to copy. The clean-up is a snap. I generally add a smidgen of ammonia to the water to clean out the brushes and the area where you are casting.

Worked perfectly, very happy!
This worked perfectly for my project. The latex was brushed over my clay sculpt one layer at a time every hour. I placed a fan and a light over it to help speed up drying. I applied 13 layers and let that sit for approximately 32 hours. It peeled right off the sculpt and looked great. I set it in a bowl of flour for support and poured in my resin mix and 15 minutes later had a perfect plastic replica of my sculpt. The latex mold held up for 3 more pours before it was unusable due to tearing. The sculpt was highly detailed and the mold worked perfectly. It takes time and patience, but it works. I'm new at this stuff and was highly skeptical, not anymore.

Appears to be what I was looking for.
I read that it might take up to 10 coats for some items. Depending on your mold, it could take 30 coats.I don't have a problem with that, and frankly I wouldn't want to change the viscosity. It is not watery, nor is it super thick. I'm pleasantly surprised with the results, and I've made molds for branches that wereless than 1/8" wide, as well as from garden rocks over 10". I will absolutely buy more when I run out.

Great product to work with.
This is really easy to work with. It makes great molds, it doesn't stain and it peels right off any surfaces it wasn't intended to get on. Including your hands. I'm a fan.You can make numerous molds with this one jar making it a cost effective way to make molds. More so than silicone.

Found it on Amazon of course⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Couldn’t find this in any arts and crafts store so of course Amazon had it. Been using it for years to make items for my Christmas Wreaths. Glad I found it and price was good too . Way to go Amazon

It works but..
the layers are to thin. I used 5 layers and was not happy with the results. I was only building a model of about 2 inches or less, but needed 5 more layers OR more for the thickness needed. I also used a plaster mold around the rubber mold and it was still not enough.

I love this for casting resin for plastic model parts.
HIGHLY recommended for brush on mold making. i build up brush on layers on small plastic parts to make duplicate parts for my plastic models. though it's not as fast as making molds using 1-1 RTV material, it's durability and simplicity and economy makes a good companion resource in addition to using RTV materials..I use both dependent on needs/parts type. Liquid Latex picks up EVERY DETAIL!! perfectly.

How easy the Mold was to handle and use to create with.
I have been using the mold on the Rat skeleton that I bought to try and make scary icky skin for it. I am not done yet. I will take some pictures and display later. The Mold is really easy to use.
