Excellent book for teen girls!
This is the perfect book to teach girls about how their bodies & cycles work. This book or something similar really ought to be mandatory reading for every menstruating teen. I'm giving it to my daughter. The focus is not sex or birth control, but rather just understanding how the female body works and what your symptoms are telling you. What it includes:-basic anatomy of the female body and reproductive system-how the menstrual cycle works-fertility hormones and what they do-what is normal and what is not normal-basics of charting your cycle and how to identify when you have ovulated-when you can get pregnant and when you can't (in a general sense - not sufficient for avoiding pregnancy)What is NOT included:-Discussion of sex or different types of sex acts. The only mention of sex is that p goes in v and sperm meets egg to begin a pregnancy. Also briefly mentions that libido may be higher during certain parts of the cycle.-Discussion of birth control options. Birth control pills are briefly mentioned in terms of their effects on the cycle, but not recommended or encouraged. It is mentioned that charting can be used to avoid pregnancy, but this book does not contain sufficient information for that purpose.-Information about STDs-Abortion-Sexual advice or morality-Anything about transgenderism or sexual orientation

A Really Great Book!
This book has been great I couldnt put it down. Due to my school's severely lacking sex ed class and other things I never learned about periods at all. I learned so much about my body from this book. It is totally worth the money. Thank You So Much!
