experience level: 15yr home improvement contractorthis product does what's advertised, it's felt, it sticks to some surfaces, regardless of preparation or treatment. i honestly haven't found a similar product with an adhesive that can actually stick to a door frame, or anything very well for that matter.i purchased this to insulate a 1/4" gap on an exterior entry door; the felt is only 1/8" thick and makes the door stick quite a bit.. staples are absolutely required to hold the felt in place. the glue simply will not hold up to any surface that encounters any kind of friction. a staple every 16" holds it in place quite nicely.

This is NOT that fast tearing foam, its durable and if you already have a tight door or window it don't force you to slam your door to close it. Seems all I can find is thick foam strips that work good if your door or window has a 1/4" plus gap. But what if you don't have huge gaps to seal? Then this is perfect. AND, it won't rip all to pieces like the foam does.

I hate the silicone/rubber tubing they sell now because it is too thick and eventually tears. I like the felt better and as soon as I put this up, the front door on my 100 year old house was snug and no more draft coming through - it really made a huge difference. I wish they still sold this in stores, but Amazon is my go-to shopping destination these days.

great for filling the gap between door and jam---if i could see the deadbolt and daylight, then i am feeling the cold. this was the perfect thickness and depth to run down my door jamb. also can be layered, i found, if you have a thicker gap and it sticks to itself just fine.

I used this to line the inside of the doors to all my glass door china/curio cabinets. This will prevent to a large degree dust getting in. Very easy o cut and use.

Love it. Works. Does not really compress, so keep that in mind when you install it. It has to fit where you're putting it, you can't sort of squish it in there like a foamy product. But it's very effective, no drafty doors or windows for me.
