Echo Valley 8196 Arco Iris Mosaic Gazing Globe, 10-Inch

I bought the Iris globe, which is mostly violets and blues. It is hefty in weight, so no worries of the wind carrying it off the stand. The mosaic is very elegant looking, and extremely bright and dimensional. In the sun it is stunning, but I like it better in light shade, where it still glitters and glows, bringing color and light where a typical globe will not. You will love the quality, I was actually surprised at how well it is constructed, with the bottom cap tightly fitted, with thick glass. Others have glass so thin you are afraid of it, not this one! The photo is a bit confusing, my globe looks like the middle of the pic, not the outer perimeter. It is rich violets and blues. I would have given it 10 stars if I could have!!!

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the price. After I bought it, I've since seen comparable items at Wal-Mart for 20$. I decided not to return this one though because it is quite lovely and I have a big garden and could always use pretty items to decorate it. Overall, I am very happy with it!

The glass is good quality however, very disappointed in the color depiction. The "color name" we chose was correct on the bottom of the box, however the color was not at all what we expected. I was hoping for more of a pinkish hue as shown online, and ended up with a more "blu-ish" tone. There was none of the color we had seen online. I even went back to the Amazon order I had placed to see if maybe there was another color closer to what was sent (thinking there may have been a mistake) but there was not. We kept it because we did not want to go through the hassle of exchanging. I might also add that we had a heck of a time trying to find an iron base to fit this in, and had to make adjustments to the base of this ball in order to make it fit into the base we purchased from Lowe's. Like I said, the quality of the glass was good.

I purchased this globe with the intent to place it outside on my deck somewhere, but when I received it, I thought it was so beautiful that I decided to keep it inside, placed right next to the fireplace, so I could enjoy it's beauty inside!I have received so many compliments on it as well. In fact, one of my friends loved it so much, that I ended purchasing one for her to surprise her with it. 😉Needless to say, I would highly recommend. 👍🏻😊

The picture does not do this globe justice...this is absolutely more beautiful than the picture...when the sun hits it,the globe has an all blue and purple shine...when not in the sun that's when you can see more of the other colors such as the gold...well worth the price...actually better than most of the expensive globes out there...if you purchased this your sure to be very satisfied...five stars...A+++

Bought it to replace a plain blue globe I broke while moving. it is definitely more durable than the thin blown glass globe. Very pretty, now i feel I have to upgrade the base to do it justice! Probably going to clean the existing base (it is verdigris colored) and then spray it with the golden patina spray paint.

This has a very large base that will not fit in a normal stand. It's not as pretty as it is in the picture either. You will be disappointed as I was. Now I have something sitting in my garage and I have to go buy a new stand that has a larger hole than the normal size which I don't know if I will be able to find. They should have stated this that it wasn't the normal size as other gazing balls

absolutely beautiful, when the sun hits the mosaics it reflects sparkles on the surrounding area, the only down side it does not fit a standard stand, the (I'll call it) nipple is larger than the last 10 inch globe that I had.
