Rubicon

The book is well-drawn, and visually engaging, but the story falls flat. There's some initial attempt at expose, and a clumsy (and amazingly unrealistic) side-plot about a guy-meets-girl in a warzone adapted from The Seven Samurai but by and large this isn't a great adaptation. It's passable, and it'll kill some time, but the characters blend together and there's no real plot other than "Bad guys cometh and we shall slay them all."As a veteran I'm always looking for realistic (albeit fictional) attempts to portray our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan - this, sadly, is a pass. On the plus side, it's not The Hurt Locker.

I loved it! It doesn't hurt that I know some of the people the characters are based on, and they do so much for our Nation that goes unknown and is thankless, that it's awesome to see a story that touches so close to home in an innocuous way, the unwritten code for so many in the SEAL community. Great book and perfect story. Objects in the mirror may be closer than ththey appear.

Good adaption of Seven Samurai with a good stylized artwork. The story makes jumps here and there for no reason except to keep it moving I guess. Overall a good read.

Great book. If you liked Seven Samurai, this is a fantastic modern take on the story. Great artwork. Author has a great flare and clearly has a lot of experience writing about war. Reads like a movie. I read the whole book in one sitting. Highly recommended.

Good, not great. I would have liked to have seen the story more detailed and fleshed out. A Seven Samurai/ Magnificent Seven with Navy SEALS should have been awesome. Sadly, it was not.

One hell of a graphic novel! Well written and full drama and action! Animation was top notch! Love the hardcover version with that neat lil suprised in the back of the book. They need to make this a screenplay. 7 Stars! !!

An epic tale told by tru life operators in a relaxed atmoshere of hazy real life motives and actions. Is it a real tale or isnt it, but the people behind these scenes have definitly been there and done that...Loved it.Payday
