Not a bad kit, Milwaukee for the price make good toolBITZ
With all Milwaukee items, they are pretty good, pity more are not made in the USA as an option, as I would pay the extra

A major surprise! In a good way.
I rarely comment on the tools that I buy, as I try to buy the best and expect them to be good. I use tools every day in my remodeling and cabinet business and this set really surprised me with its' quality and thoughtful layout. It is easy to see that someone put a lot of thought into how these bits and drivers were laid out in the superb case. The whole set feels and looks like the highest quality of steel and construction was used throughout. The case holds all of the pieces firmly but not so firmly that they can't be taken out and used easily. The case is compact and has the feel that it will last a long time. Now to the selection of bits and drivers. There seems to be exactly what is needed for the drilling and driving of screws and hex fastners. The quick connects are of superb quality and work easily and with positive action. There is a great set of hex drill bits that go from 1/16" to 1/4" by 32nds to 1/8" and 16ths up to 1/4". Included is a tool to drive screws in difficult places that looks to be very usefull. A more than adequate selection of phillips and flat bits are supplied and arranged to be really easy to use. The pictures of this set ,while good, can't relay the quality feel of it all. I can't recommend this highly enough. You can spend your money knowing that you will get great value for it.

Unbelievable quality, terrific deal!
I purchased this set 6 months ago and I am amazed at the quality of the components! Everything has a feeling of being weightier than the competition. Being able to use double sided bits in a quick lok collar is brilliant, I've been waiting a long time for that one, well done Milwaukee! It has an excellent 6" extension with a quick lok collar that allows you to reach places without piggybacking an extension on a short quick lok collar. There are a surplus of bits, both 1" and 2". The magnetic bit holder is a welcome addition for when you're doing light work and have to change bits quickly. I love the hex shanks on the drill bits as well. I had one (3/32) break on me going into an oak hand rail, but I attribute this more to the size of the bit and the hardness of the material as opposed to the quality of the bit. This is truly an outstanding tool set and a great value here at Amazon. I highly recommend it to all pros as well as diy. Milwaukee 48-32-1500 38-Piece Quik Lok Bit Set

Driving bits ok, drill bits not so much
The driving bits are ok as far as I can see. My only complaint about the driving bits is that they round out my screw heads; but I'll chalk that up to soft screws or poor technique on my part. The drill bits are not that good though.First of all to get a proper graduation of sizes I think there are some sizes missing. What I mean is this:I was drilling into some metal, started with a small bit and moved up bit by bit. When I moved from the 2nd largest to the largest bit the size jump was so large that the bit and drill seized. Which leads me to my 2nd issue:Secondly, when that bit seized the base of the bit, that was in the chuck separated from the fluted part of the bit... poor quality. A bit should not separate like that. Finally, there is a wobble on these bits. The cheap Black & Decker bit I had did not wobble, but when I used these drill bits the drill would wobble. In summary I would say if you are buying this set buy them for the driving bits... use the drill bits but know that they wont last.

Poor quality grade steel, the bit twisted and basically destroyed from first use.
I have ordered two sets for using with my impact driver, the PH2 bits from this set basically destroyed in the first use to drive a 1 inch wood screw while trying to install a door lock.I then tried the ph2 bit came from the other set (shockwave 29 peace driver set) and it was a big different, it has been able to drive the next 12 wood screws with a small scratch on the bit, but the bit look like in good shape and could last for many more driving.I have requested a return through amazon return process, and now will see how they will take care of the return and refund...Don't buy this set, it is a bad quality tool set.3/14/2013 updateI have return the set to Amazon return center on 3/12/2013 around 10AM and today 3/14/2013 around 11:20AM amazon sent me an email confirm the return and a full refund to Credit card. Thanks Amazon for such a great service!Chris

The Drill bits are not straight.
I bought this in July 2012. I used a 1/4" drill bit yesterday, February 23,2013 for the first time. It was not straight, not even close. I got another bit from a different set (Dewalt) and finished my job. Today February 24, I checked the rest of the bits out. Not one was straight. I am waiting to hear from Milwaukee about what they will do.I was drilling soft wood, but if I had been drilling metal it could have been VERY dangerous. CHECK ALL BITS BEFORE USING!!! I am going back to Dewalt.2-26-2013: Milwaukee is sending me a new set. I will check them out as soon as I get them and make a new posting as to their straightness.2-28-2013: New bits appear to be straight. I checked all of them. When I use them if any are not I will post again.

I had to use a Dremel tool and grind out the side of the hex drive and remove the broken drill bit shank and then center as best
I would give this 5 stars except for one thing. There are no replacements available from Milwaukee for the hex drive drill bits. I broke a 5/64" bit. I searched Amazon and the Internet for a replacement; none to be found. I called Milwaukee customer service. They were attentive and even sent me a couple of 5/64" drill bits but they were not hex drive; just regular drill bits. I had to use a Dremel tool and grind out the side of the hex drive and remove the broken drill bit shank and then center as best I could a new bit into the grove and then epoxy it in place. I've used it and it seems to work OK, but I would rather have a replacement hex drive drill bit.

The case may be the best part. Bits are good too.
The bits work well and I dig the quick lock systems of the two included adapters. Keep in mind that I think one of the bit locks releases by pulling forward, and the other by pulling backward towards the drill. It took me some time to figure that out. Either way this is a great little kit.Now I may be weird, but my favorite part is the case. Cheap tool kits of all kinds typically come with cheap cases and boy, do not underestimate the stress of a cheap case. I had a jobmate socket set that I returned within two weeks because each time I'd open it three sockets would fall out and I'd be left putting them back in...each into their special spot. More would fall out each week. So at a time when I'm wanting to solve a quick problem around the house, I'm having to solve a second with this case socket game.In the case of the Milwaukee Bit set, it's sweet. See what I did there? But seriously it hold the bits in securely and locks right up in a way that gives me confidence it'll hold together for years. No issues. I recommend.Jay

Stays with my drill / driver
I love this little set and it stays in the bag for my drill/driver kit at all times. It has enough bits to accomplish 80% of the tasks around the house without lugging out my more comprehensive set. The case is very high quality and as bits wear down I just swap new ones in to replace them. It's also very easy to snap the bits out of their holders (I have a bigger kit and its nearly impossible to get some of the bits out without using something to pry them). I don't use the quik-loks too often since my driver has that built in, but they do come in handy with the drill. The screw guide is also seeing a lot of use and has held up well.It doesn't have everything you'll ever need, but it sure beats lugging around a bigger bit set for most tasks.

Lots of neat stuff!
Very substantial kit.... Would be worth the price for all the extra attachments if you had to buy separately. Was impressed with the quality of the quick release pieces.Even just if some of the bits or drills are a bit weak and break, they are pretty much standard size and I could easily replace from parts I already have. This kit is on the large size but it has everything for most jobs -- easy to grab and go to the job. Really heavy duty case which holds the pieces great.Very pleased with this kit and with Amazon (as usual).

Great bit and screwdriver set
I am a Dewalt guy but I can't stand their bit boxes. I bought this Milwaukee and what a difference! The bits are actually easy to set back into place, which is why we buy a box along with the bits, so that we can find them every time we need them, All bits work actually better that the other as well. you will not regret this purchase!
