Pretty Nightmare: Creeping Beautiful, Book 2

Wow...That Just Blew Me Away!!1. Stop if You have NOT Read Creeping Beautiful, just go back now or you'll be all over the place Just Lost if you do not read these books in order!!So so many different way's this second of four books could've gone, and truly this is more of a Duet I'd surmise this & book one to be considered!!But Julie Huss telling us about the "The Company" and all the characters with her mind and her WORDS = An Awesome "Pretty Nightmare" as the title in any shape form or fashion should've forewarned me and anyone else that's been a Regular Following Fan of Julie's, that within “these people” are always some kind of “Ones that have Nightmares”! Yup I'd say any single one of them tied into The Company is having them. The question is, well is it a Pretty, Scary or heck even beautiful? I’m not sure I've had many Beautiful Nightmares but I have had a many bad ones. So what will we all feel about this one??? Because let me tell you, THE FEELINGS ~ Ha Yeah, IT is gonna Happen & they come on quickly from that Cliffy of Creeping Beautiful!First I was trying my best to think Like her and All I know of The Company, I've come to know them pretty well. But not as good as I always think! LOL Yeah Just trying to guess anything was futile!! Even though I thought I knew which way JA Huss was going to write it, this....Ha yep shouldve known better because well that's just never going happen. You wont ever guess exactly right, especially to the broad base of characters within The Company, of which we have different folks good & bad or even the good that’s bad, It’s all this association to its evilness well and of course those we Love that happen into the "Company" via born, bought or stolen...that's how ya get in and getting out, yeah a book all on its own one fine day?But one thing you dont wanna ever have truly is Any Regular "Company" like "This Company” stopping by for a visit!So at the end of Creeping Beautiful all hell had erupted and it was a shocking cliffhanger.Things happened at Old Home as if they were an oiled machine, as if someone had that place, the home, duck pond, the wooded jungle with crazy wild animals or what is in that Jungled Mess of Woods? Why was Indie so "into the wooded type of swampy jungle in Louisiana? Because even though they all Loved Old Home and it was a Great HOME for THEM. Yet some of the things that had happened and were YET to happen were either Beautiful or well Nightmarish, zero doubt. And it’s within this part of Old Home that some serious planning was going on, and had it been all along?The trapped Adam, that just wanted to be anything & everything, (just not be his dad) his love for this place was it out of place or just plain misconstrued? Because this was a place of great memory's with his best friend and yes even his dad, and again you think “was that all out of place” because that was based on two boys who had enjoyment there, and in this life you treasure that kind of time. But as Adam gets older and he reflects and learns more of his dad and tries to fit puzzle pieces together, it was difficult if not impossible to know he had indeed become some part of his dad. He had duties as they all had and in a way it was what he and McKay had planned and worked so hard on for it to be a Good Home an not just a place. But something they had always wanted it to be, or did they, was it them or someone else here all along making this a different place or had they just fell into the same ole trap that the Company Always Loves to set and succeed in. And even if they weren't even around though for those 4 years had it ever changed? Because truly Adam is now that Main guy in charge of The Company, right?Well ya got read to find out these answers! Because in the end was it really over? Why did they always have to look over their shoulders?Oh so many secrets, so many lies, so many truths. So much to figure out, your head will spin and you might laugh out loud then throw your kindle and you might even cry!!So here is what will happen, your mind will be reeling, your suspicions will be everywhere, you’ll be trying to piece Together what you were told, what you weren't told or did you simply sidestep and miss things, big things? So much new info spilling into the mindfrack of such a book that only dear Julie can pull out....And I’ll say again “Oh the Feels” yep she will give you Lots in this one!So what is Indie up to? Will she have them all as she pleases? What exactly is it that will please her?What's Everyone Been Up to? Can they ever be as close as before, should they ever have been?So in this story of Nightmares, that's exactly how it felt to me as they all came at you as well!Kind like a sorts of the strange Mirror Mirrow On the Wall Just Who Is the Strangest of them all? Who weaves the best story of them all? Maybe it's all of them, Is that why they were all together for so long anyways?Its going be a WTH moment in the entire Second half, the first part is a kind of relearning these characters as they are now adults and back all together.Well except for Maggie of course she was in the first book but just a baby that they all grew to Love an care for, kind of how they had for Indie! But man oh man little Maggie, damn I Love that girl!! What she has become with Adam as a dad, she isn't an Indie, I'll tell ya that, but never underestimate these genes, they'll never let you down!Bravo Julie, oh this web of stories and people! Wasn't sure how you would bring us out of the Jungle this time, damn what a freaking Ride!Come On and Jump aboard this crazy train!! Cant wait for the next adventure, be awaiting on ya Julie, and of course “The Company!!

Pretty Nightmare is the Company revisited. Boy buys girl, boy has a team, the team are assassins. Can you trust the girl or boy, or will they turn on one another? Like I said, not typical. O?f course you should not expect typical from this author.I couldn’t wait for this next book in the Creeping Beautiful series. It was worth it. It meets all my expectations for a new JA Huss book. With Pretty Nightmare we are given a taboo treat (MFMM, MM, FM) set in the world of the Company. The Company is a shadow government that has its tentacles around the world. They train children as assassins who kill without guilt anyone who comes against them. While there are characters you will know if you read The Company series, it isn’t necessary to enjoy this new generation of Company Untouchables.After reading all of JA Huss’ books multiple times, her clever, slightly twisted mind should not surprise me, but she always does. She is the queen of the unexpected. Her writing style is unique and totally entertaining. Pretty Nightmare is another story that threw me for a loop and kept me guessing from start to finish. I love the stomach clenching and summersaults that are non-stop.A lot of questions are answered in Pretty Nightmare, but there is more waiting for the next installment in the series. I am crazy for these characters, and the way we get into their heads, with the multiple points of view. Now, I am anxiously waiting for the way their story will wrap up. Pretty Nightmare is everything I have come to love about Julie’s writing, and more. I can’t wait for the audio announcement. A great read!

First, right on with your thoughts, isn’t it a crazy world we are in? Very glad you addressed that, some authors? I do wonder about as time goes on. This was an excellent series, however the first part was so much more, this felt a bit rushed, too easy? . Then again trying to be creative in this time right now, this wild time, is hard to do. Trust me, I too have been trying but keep getting lost in books to avoid this world right now. Anyways this is a great series, secret companies, mind controlling, heady relationships, great plot, characters I highly recommend! The first book will pull you in..

Oh my god what a ride why do I even try to guess what's going to happen because its always so much better and twisted and ingenious and just so god damn good.I began reading this book believing alot of things and oh how everything changed along the way as each belief turned into something else something better and the crazy well we all had our thoughts and turns out not so crazy after all or are they haha.This story is so well written and Julie you have me on the edge of a cliff waiting for the next book please let it be soon.

I don’t know where this author comes up with all these twists and turns but oh my goodness, she keeps me turning the pages. What a world they are all living in. So interesting.Narration was superb.

The obsession started with the Rook &Ronin series and has continued on with The Company, Bossy Bros, The Mr series and now Creeping Beautiful. Love it all. Would give 10 stars if I could. Really need more of this world.I have even dreamed of new characters!

JAH just has a way with weaving words together that is so so captivating... EVERY BOOK challenges my thinking, belief systems and world view in delicious ways! I’m always kept on my figure out where this is going toes... with just enough of the lovely erotic thrown in! I adore her writing for so many reasons but especially that I get to ‘hear’ about my favourite characters again and again as they pop up if fleetingly! Big gratitude Julie for your genius and unapologetic commitment to writing what interests you! (The EOBS are often my favourite part! Get to the end of a book folks and you will likely agree)

Wow! What a ride! I can still feel the adrenalin rush, and my thumping heart from the ending of this book.This book picks your ideas up, and tosses them around, scatters them around. There is so much going on in this story. This is twisty. Full of suspense, secrets and mystery. But things start slipping into place before the big finale. I have been unable to put this book down!
