3 books in 1? 😂
OK, I probably should have paid attention to the page numbers. It’s pretty funny that this is described as 3 books in one. It’s the size of a magazine (thin) and should probably be called an outline (a very, very short outline) of 3 ancient histories instead of an overview. Complete rip-off for $20

High school sophomore may have written this
I wish I had been able to read other reviews BEFORE I wasted the money purchasing this... The very first paragraph was an obvious mistake. Cleopatra and Alexander the Great??? Seriously??? So you can't believe anything written in the "book"... novella actually. What a waste of time and money. If you truly want to feel as though you are living in the world of "Idiocrasy" then read this book!

Typos, inaccuracy, expensive
The first thing I noticed was how small the book was. For 25 dollars I expected a moderate read. The words were huge. I first read the back cover of this book and noticed a couple typos. I didn't think much until I read the opening paragraph of the Egyptian portion where the author discusses how Alexander the great conquered Egypt and forced Cleopatra to surrender to the Roman Empire... Alexander and Cleopatra existed nearly 300 years apart and Alexander had nothing to do with the Roman Empire... This was the Introduction. I continued to read and found typo after typo and after about 3 pages I couldn't take it anymore. I closed the book and scheduled a return with amazon minutes after opening the package.

This is a great way to begin
This is a great way to begin the study of the Ancient World. It lightly touches on a multitude of topics in connection to the ancient worlds but is on the light side of what order things occurred. For a history buff, this is on the light side. For a beginner, it seems to present more questions than answers although this is how a person begins searching for answers in history. I would not recommend this book to someone who is knowledgeable about the ancient world.

Do not waste you money or time
There are many egregious spelling and grammatical errors in the first sevearal pages. The continuity of the stories is very poor or lacking completely. The author jumps from one time event to another with no warning and no reason. In the middle of the discussion on Menes, he jumps to Cheops and then to Cleopatra. The more I tried to read, the more confused and bewildered i became.

I do not think this was written by an historian
This reads like an extended student book report. There's nothing really wrong with it, but it has no depth to it.

our teenager loves it
our teen (17) ordered this, we thought it'll be a little too scientific for him but, he loves it. Actually sits down and reads a couple of pages and tells us all about it.

Overpriced, poorly written
First time submitting a review on Amazon after many years of purchasing. For the price of this book it is very disappointing. What is supposed to be 3 books in 1, is actually the size of 1 small book with cheap paper and very few pictures which would normally enhance a history book greatly. It’s also, bizarrely, full of grammatical errors, as if some parts were written by a child. Quite interesting information but delivered in a bit of a boring way. It is worth reading but the price should be closer to £5 than £20.

Ausência de referências gritante!
O livro não apresenta referências de nenhum tipo. Há ausências em tudo: notas, citações, bibliografias...Arrependo-me de tê-lo comprado!
