Thaekuns 42999 1/4-Inch Router Collet Fits for PORTER CABLE models,Delta, B&D

Bought this 1/4” holder to fit a carbide burr to my milling machine. It worked perfectly.

This collet is replacing the original 1/4” collet for my 7529 PC router. I have used it in that router and in my 3 HP router in the router table.The collet does not grip the bit without some initial tightening as you position the bit. Once the bit no longer freely slips, you can use the wrenches to fully tighten. But even then, after exerting considerably more than the usual torque, the bit slips while routing. I do not trust the collet to hold the bit and will not use it anymore.

The part arrived promptly and fits my Porter Cable 7518 just fine. Yes, the snap ring is not there but it also does not come apart even without it so I'm not sure what the need is - I can pick one up for a few cents if I feel the need, but I don't right now.My 1/4 bits fit nicely and snugly into the collet prior to tightening, and the collet tightens them down very nicely and securely. It is a good collet for a great price.

Bought this to replace a worn out 1/4" collect. There's nothing cheap or flimsy about this. Works perfectly with my Porter Cable 690 router and my Delta 43-505 router/shaper table. I feel perfectly safe using it. Sometimes it takes a few taps with a screwdriver after loosing the nut before it will release the bit. Maybe I just tighten it too much.

I used this to replace original collet that I broke. It fit as if it was an original manufacturer replacement. Very pleased.

I've bought parts before on line and sometimes the work but often I have to make minor adjustments. Not in this case it fit my router the first time.
