WowWee Roboraptor X - Robot Dinosaur Toy with Remote Control

This is an awesome looking dinosaur! When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised, as it is larger than I expected. It has great details and is very sturdy made. My grandsons were so excited over this as they really love dinosaurs. They play with it for hours and hours. It's really cool to see it moving around on the floor! I even like to play with it!!!.

Must stand in front of it facing the antennae to make sure the remote works for that mode. Son loves it and had not broken it yet (about 2 years of ownership)

Big hit with my oldest 6 year old grandson of the triplets, who got it on their birthday. Bigger than expected, and it's fun to watch. Everything worked as advertised, and it has abilities I was unaware it had when I purchased it.

This thing is horrible to program. Followed the instructions over and over again. Even watched their YouTube video on how to program it and even in the instructional video they guy programming the demo had a difficult time programmed. Other than that this thing is plain annoying.

Doesn't move easily on the hardwood floors or carpet - also sparse instructions make it hard to tell whether it's following your directives, or even how to make it "learn". Bought it for my 7 year old grandson who was really excited about it, but he lost interest after just a day or two. Disappointed.

My grandson thought this was his "best dinosaur ever", and believe me, he has a ton of dinosaurs. It was worth the excitement and amusement. Thanks.

This thing LOOKS so cool! My kids love the idea of it and how it looks. BUT, and this is a big "but", I would not buy it again. You can only control it if the dinosaur is looking directly at you/the controller. If you stand slightly to the side or behind it it won't catch the signal from your phone or the controller. This is really impractical as it means you walk backwards while standing in front of this thing to get it to walk in any direction. It was a HUGE bummer. If we hadn't ordered it early for Christmas and then gotten rid of all the packaging prior to discovering this issue I would have returned it. IF it worked like it should (you can stand in one spot and control this as it moves all over) I would definitely recommend it.

It's bigger than I thought, which was a plus, and has some cool "behaviors," but it doesn't walk well unless on slightly rough concrete. The feet get caught up in pile carpeting, and slip on wood or tile. Still, it's a pretty cool toy for any dinosaur lover.

WENN der Roboter auch nur 2h funtionieren würde, wäre er ein tolles Geschenk für jeden kleinen Dino-Fan. Mein Sohn war begeistert, auch wenn sofort klar wurde, dass eine Infrarotfernbedienung "Made in China" nicht wirklich praxistauglich ist - kleiner Mann muss sie genau auf den Empfänger im Dino-Kopf ausrichten und dann idealerweise nicht mehr als 1m entfernt stehen - aber nun gut, das hatte ich ja in einer Rezession gelesen.Aber dass der Dino auf Parkett nur jämmerlich umher torkelt, war mir neu - also "Filzpantoffeln" angeklebt, schon besser.1h Spielspaß, dann konnte Dino nicht mehr nach links gehen, somit auch nicht mehr gerade aus, dann fiel sein Schwanz aus - und dann meine Geduld! Return to sender.Übrigens zeigte der Roboter bereits Gebrauchsspuren am Batteriefach - nebenbei sei erwähnt, dass der Kreuzschrauben im Batteriefach bereits so abgenutzt war, dass man ihn fast nicht drehen konnte - da wusste ich, was auf mich zukommen wird ... ;-(

Apathetic design. It can't do some things, like turn, on any surface except shallow-pile carpet. Wood/tile are too slick and heavier carpet bogs it down.Packaging is beyond ridiculous. You'll need a very narrow (1/4" or so) Philips head with a 3" shank to unbox it. We thought the display platform might actually be part of the toy, it was fastened so securely. Are they worried about someone shoplifting this cat-sized toy?For half the price it would be okay. For $100+ there are toys that work better and are just as cool.

Verwechselt links und rechts. War auch warehouse deals. Man muss auch ziemlich nahe mit der Fernbedienung ran damit sich überhaupt was tut. Meine Meinung hätte in der Beschreibung dazugeschrieben gehört.

Era para mi hijo de 8 años recién cumplidos. Movimientos muy básicos, a veces se vuelve loco, además no camina ni avanza bien en suelo de parquet. Por el precio que tiene, esperaba algo mejor, la verdad

Definitely there is no feel whatsoever that is designed by NASA scientist, I suspect it is a fake one being sold or delivered by the vendor !!! It functions in a very ordinary way like a cheap electronic toy !!
