I just received the knife, so only time will tell how well it holds up under daily use.What I can say is that right out of the package this knife is sharp enough to shave. There is no wobble or give to the blade at all, not when it’s locked it when it’s pivoting. The pivot is smooth, the lock is easy to disengage with one hand, and the knife easily clips back into my pocket without having to pry the clip up with a fingernail.There was no break-in period to get the action smooth, no stall on the open or close. The size of the knife, the weight, the thickness is all good for me. It’s comfortable to use with no issues, no slippery feel to the handle while using the knife.I’m impressed. If it lasts and doesn’t develop wobble with extended use, I’ll be completely thrilled. So far I have to say I’m a fan.

This is my first Civivi. I purchased the Damascus with carbon fiber scales. It is a beautiful knife, and the quality is quite amazing for a sub $100 knife of these materials.Edge geometry and tip are very thin and slicey. Action is buttery smooth. Blade is perfectly centered.Only real complaint, is that the pocket clip is lacking. I strongly suggest getting the upgraded milled titanium clip sold here on Amazon. It is MUCH nicer. (Make sure you check that it is the one made for the Ortis, as there are a couple of different clips meant for specific Civivi models)

Operation of the knife is very smooth. The blade is sharp and with the black color, looks good. In terms of heft, it is relatively lightweight.My two complaints are that while there is light crosshatching on the knife handle, probably for grip, it is ineffective. The material used for the handle is something that is naturally slippery, feeling almost oily and the crosshatching too light to help any.My second complaint is that the knife is somewhat small. It's not comfortable to hold in my big hand. This, of course, may not be a problem if you have smaller hands.

I don't require a hatchet, and I don't require my knife to be a prybar. If I need those things, I buy those things. What I need in a knife, is what this one offers, wonderful ergonomics, safety features, and a reasonable edge and metal for the price range. I research everything before I buy it, and I knew I wanted something from Civivi specifically, they have some pretty reliable people recommending it. I looked at the entire range they offered and decided this is what I needed, and the price was on point. The Ortis delivered on all of those areas. It's so perfect for my pocket, I could forget it's there, and it's in the perfect price range, where obviously I'd be sad if I Iost it, it wouldn't impact me economically to replace it. It feels perfect for my hand, and I'm 6'1", with relatively large hands. While it's smooth as butter to open, It takes a little effort if you're not used to the flip mechanism, but once you get the hang of it, it's thoughtless, and reliable to execute every time. Wonderful company on top of everything else, Civivi is obviously thinking about their customers, and making what we need, and want, at a price we can appreciate. GG Civivi~!

As soon as I got this knife in hand I knew it was just what I was looking for.Lightweight, beautiful blade, thin, came very sharp. Completely comfortable, neutral grip handle. Not for 'hard use', but perfect for general daily carry.THE DETENT ON MINE IS PERFECT! A little stiffer than the Praxis I got, and I'm so glad.Action is great and snappy from flip #1, w no oil added.Plus, the flipper tab is just right, not in the way, and yet still plenty to open with.I really love the black and OD green, understated with no numbers or billboarding. Just the awesome design to look at. Discreet black clip too. It's like a Gentleman's Tactical. lolJust the right size, full size, but not too big. And rounded for easy pocket carry.All this plus a zipper pouch and wiping cloth. Very happy with my purchase.Think this is going to be one of my new most carried in 2021.

The look of the green and black is cool. The knife feels well built. The action is smooth. The clip is set up so when you pull it out and flick it open it's in your hand in the proper orientation to use it. It will be as sharp as you make it and dull according to your use. I give it a few passes on my kitchen sharpener and it's good enough for daily use for a while. The point is extremely pointy. Just one soft touch and you've poked a hole in your finger. I also have the mini praxis. This one is just slightly bigger and fits my had better. I have huge hands though. And I prefer a normal sized knife so this one is good for daily use. For self defense get pepper spray. It's not like your actually going to stab someone. This isn't Hollywood. Get real. This is for strings and paper and zip ties and apples. Daily use.

Seller was prompt in shipping and refunding when item did not meet expectations. Item was quality product just too large to be a pocket knife
