Blazer MT3000 Hot Shot Butane Torch, Red

It feels lightweight and plastic but it doesn’t fall over like my last torch. Refilling is awkward too but maybe that’s just me. Four stars instead of five because it does feel a little cheap. But it does the job so I’m keeping it and am happy with it!

I'm 72 years old. I don't need child-proof lids, or torches. This one is simple and intuitive, with no extra gizmos to fight with, and no extra gizmos to fail. Old school, just the way I like it.

I appreciate that safety features are important but I need to be able to operate a torch with one hand and holding a safety button while lighting takes two hands. This torch may not be considered as safe, but it is invaluable to me because it can be turned on, lit and adjusted with one hand.

This little unit is just what I needed. It has worked perfectly for me, for a few months now. Qith almost daily use!A bit more i fo, for those who need it!Before I bought this I had no clue what I needed, or if this would do the job! I previously had one that fit on top of a propane canister. Which has a bigger flame. This is what I learned.Pretty much, they will all burn hot enough for soldering, annealing, and flame patina. But the size of the flame determines how big a piece you can successfully work on. This is not the smallest torch I have seen. But it is on the small side. However! I make wire wrapped jewelry. And also make ball hair pins. I could ball up to 18 gauge, with no problem! It took a little practice to do 16 gauge. But with proper technique, it can be done! Main effort is to get the whole piece heated up, in order to raise the temp qhere you need it to melt. I doubt you could do any gauge thicker than 16.I highly recommend this to anyone who works on small pieces. Say pendants and such.

Torch is okay but not the best for keeping a consistent flame. ON/OFF knob is very springy to touch and will either reduce fuel or add too much. Sometimes it will intermittently not start either.

The stand and grip help a lot while using, adjustable flame is very useful when adjusting to different tasks.

I really liked this torch, but it stopped working after a year. I only used it for light hobby work (finishing 3D printed items), and lighting cigars, so it really should have lasted longer. It had a nice adjustable flame, and could be locked on for extended work.

many stop working after a few refills. I used this one and after 10+ refills it still works!

The red knob stopped working after 2 sessions. Not satisfied at all with this torch. Out of the box it delivered a strong flame and lasted as advertised for the first session. Second session refilled, the flame is a lot weaker, tried refilling but the max twist flame was permanently smaller. It still did the job so I kept using it. Went to use it for 3rd session and and now twisting the knob doesn't release any gas at all. Refilled it and tried everything but to no avail. I regret this purchase... Hopefully I can get a refund and will most likely opt for a more premium torch.

Works exactly as stated. It’s a torch and it burns stuff.It is very durable, my pup got a hold of it while I was at work and actually opened it for me... he chewed at it a lot because the rubber gripping has hundreds of teeth marks but stayed in tact as well as the base.

Torch was a bit smaller than expected as was flame but works amazing. Still working a little over a month later.
