RALEIGH Bikes Jazzi 12 Kids Bike with Training Wheels, Purple

Bought this for a 4 year-old granddaughter who was already riding a 12" bike w/o training wheels. The bike was well-packaged, easy to assemble, and proved a notch above the usual kiddie bikes in terms of quality. I expect this bike will be great for my granddaughter and then be enjoyed by other, younger grandkids. The green color and style seem gender neutral, so that is another plus.The score of 4 is because the bike needed serious adjusting. The front and year wheel bearings (cones) were too tight. Chain was too tight. Headset was also too tight. My bike knowledge is mostly from 40 years ago, but I recall that over-tight bearings can damage the ball bearings and raceways. It is a shame the assemblers don't take a bit more care. That was an hour of work to get things right.In case people wonder, the bike has a Raleigh logo but apparently came from a factory in China.

Bought the 20", 1 1/2 years ago, mainly city riding and some trails. At some point, all bikes require maintenance or upgrades. This bike is a great platform from which to build.Adjustments to seat height, handlebars height and angle can be tailored for kid's max comfort. We upgraded to grippier, BMX tires and will swap out grips. More urban bombing ready. This bike will handle anything my daughter can throw at it, if I keep it running smoothly, i.e., air in tires periodically, constant adjustments (as my daughter grows). If needed, I would also upgrade rims, but my daughter may grow out of this size by then.

We got this bike for my 7yr old daughter. It is one of the lightest bikes in this price range and the build quality is what i would expect from a Specialized, trek, cannon-dale, or other high end kids bike. The design is simple and the rear hand brake works great. The assembly was easy and the bike offers a decent amount of adjustment with the handlebars and seat to get the fit just right. Great bike for the price.

This is a great and lightweight kids bike. My 9 year old has been loving this bike.My only complaints are that the reflectors that come with this bike differ from the ones in the manual. The back reflector is fine, but the front reflector didn't seem to fit.

Excellent quality for a kids bike. A major upgrade from typical "wal mart" bicycles. Some assembly required, but quality tools supplied.
