Very Cute
I love the design of this wind spinner! Both "wheels" spin in opposite directions, and can get to spinning pretty fast in a stiff breeze. Some things you need to know-- it's pretty small, but if you know that, it's a lovely accent in the right spot in your garden. It's also not very sturdy, so you can't manhandle it when putting it together and pushing it into the ground (easier in damp soft soil). You may have to bend the "spoons" to accept the wind better, especially if only one wheel spins (carefully-- it would be easy to twist them off if you overdo it). And finally, make sure you have all the parts, and that everything is intact. Mine was missing the ball at the end of one of the wheels--I could have lived without it, but it's not just decorative--it acts as a weight and without it the wheel won't spin. The company was great about replacing it, though. The glass sphere in the center is not a light, it has phosphorescent material inside that gives off a very soft glow at night--so don't expect it to shine. In spite of the drawbacks, I just love it! It adds interest to my yard as part of a wind spinner "garden".

Super Cool - LOVE IT
Have several spinners. LOVE this addition. Didn't have to tweek anything for it to spin. Sometimes that is required. It is also important to figure out the right angle for some spinners to catch wind in the right curves of a spinner for it to spin. Live in Rio Rancho NM - 30 minutes from Albuquerque, in a super windy area. Placed spinner not too far from a wall and it is catching great wind and spinning as I write this! SUPER COOL! One of my spinners is shaped like a tulip. I had to slightly bend the upright tulip stems VERY CAREFULLY to catch the wind right but not this spinner which is fortunate because the metal discs on the stems seem a little fragile. Could break off if twisted. The only reason I'm not rating it 5 star is because the glass ball detached during shipping. Nothing Gorilla Glue couldn't take care of. I've even attached fat metal birds to river rock with the stuff. Will see tonight if the glass ball glows but I don't watch it at night anyway. It's BEAUTIFUL in daylight :0)

I like it.
I really like the way this looks as it spins. However, some of the "ears" were slightly bent when it arrived so I tried to straighten them out. I broke two of them off in the process and now it doesn't spin as well. I have a friend who can spot weld them back on, but I was disappointed that it was so flimsy. I'd buy another, but if the ears on the next one were bent I'd be very gentle in reshaping them. As far as holding up in the wind; yes, it does alright but will need a little concrete in the post hole. Just using a rubber maillot to drive the fork into the ground isn't sufficient to keeping it in place. It definitely needs concrete to hold it with New Mexico winds.

Attractive, but only turns in gale force winds.
This is a cool sculpture, I love the asymetrical look when the wheels run opposite each other. That being said, it takes gale force winds to turn it. It is poorly balanced, and does not rotate on the stake to take full advantage of the wind. And unless a storm is blowing in, it won't turn. I have tried rotating the petals to catch more wind, but the welding holding the petals is threatening to break, and it damages the weatherproof coating. Someone mentioned weighting the wheels, which would probably help, if I could figure out a way to do it. The wheels kind of swing back and forth, but don't actually turn in the wind. Then when the wind it strong enough, it is enough to blow the lawn furniture away -- not a pleasant afternoon in the garden! May send it back. If I can get it balanced and turning, I would keep it.

A Great Yard Piece
The media could not be loaded. Β This was a gift for my Mom for Mother's Day and she really enjoys it. My Mom collects art in her yard and I was looking for something that moved. This was available at other garden and bird stores online for $60 to $120. As other reviewers said, it did come in a couple of pieces, but it wasn't a big deal to assemble and it sits in my parents' backyard and catches the wind just fine. Their yard is protected on all sides by trees, large fences and plants. The piece is a lot lighter weight than I thought it would be and smaller, but it is still a substantial piece. The globe piece in the middle does not glow in the dark, but is a nice accent.Without any prodding the two wheels seem to catch the wind and spin separately, even on a normal wind day.

Looks Nice
This is very pretty. It spins nicely in the wind. The glass globe does not glow in the dark at all, (in fact I have two gazing balls from this company that also claim to glow and they don't either) but I didn't get it for the illumination. It is a pretty copper color and is not flimsy or cheap feeling. I've had it outside, and in the weather for about a month or so and it has not rusted or shown any signs of damage. I'm pleased with the purchase and would reccommend.

Beautiful, but doesn't spin
It is very attractive. However, I have yet to see it spin. And, I have not seen the center piece glow. I imagined this to be much larger. It isn't that big, so you have to find the right spot, where it will fit and look like it belongs. If you don't really care much about it spinning, then this is certainly an attractive addition to your garden. I suppose if you live somewhere with frequent high winds, then it may spin in the right location.

Very nice sculpture
Received this kinetic sculpture in good condition and had no problems getting it to spin. One of the sides spins very easily and the other spins in a bit more wind. One of the parts of the stake fell off right out of the box, but it's not really needed anyway for how we mounted it to our deck. We sprayed it with clear coat before putting it outside so hopefully it doesn't rust. I haven't really looked at it after dark to see if it glows or not, but it's very nice during the day.

4 out of 5, no glow, no go
Functions well and looks good. Crystals in globe do not glow in the dark however.

Not what I expected at all
Well, it requires a lot of wind to actually move. I placed it in my front yard, and very little movement. I live in town, surrounded by other houses, and I guess there just isn't enough wind. So I gave it to my mother, who lives more in the county, and she really likes it. The night time glowing......not so great. It was getting full sun when it was here, and you could barely see it at night, even from 4 feet away. I would not recommend this to anyone who does not live in the county, or whom the wind is blocked from any direction.
