Amcrest 1080P WiFi Security Camera 2MP (1920TVL) :Everything in one box! Device came with all the options to get working straight away from the box –USB cable, good length (approx. 2mtrs) No USB plug adaptor but this is not an issue. Solid screw in / screw down clip system that came with screws and plugs. The camera and a well written guide to getting started - One the device was plugged in it took mere minutes to download the app and connect the device to the home Wi-Fi.What is clear, is the imagery! great quality, certainly ideal for keeping an eye on the kids playing in the other room! Audio quality from the room was good and clear, so it’s ticking the boxes in terms of AV quality. The 2-way audio is also useful for dealing with anything in the room you’re watching without having to go in there yourself.The night vision is clear, certainly in terms of being abler to see what’s happening in the room in the dark and the pan, tilt and zoom on the camera works well, the only criticism I would have been is the motor is quite loud when it moves but then this isn’t MI5 surveillance but observation and protection in the home.I’m really pleased to have this and its providing me with everything I need to monitor a single room, whilst there are a number of record options (Sd card/Cloud) for me being able to open the app and see into the space is enough and this camera does that job brilliantly as a standalone device.

- The seal on the box had been split upon receipt, however the contents appeared unused and all in new condition.- The camera looks nice and the colour (black) makes it relatively unobtrusive in my home environment. However a white version might be a popular option to introduce to the range.- Initial set-up was quite simple, instructions were easy to follow.- At first I could not locate the SD card slot, instructions on where to find this could be clearer. Turns out you have to tilt the camera and it is in the back, rather than on the mount.- Having found the SD card slot, I have not yet found a way to record to it, or even find out whether constant recording to an SD card is possible (I do not wish to sign up to another expense of the cloud recording solution). Again, instructions on this could be clearer.- There have been occasions when the camera image will not load in the Amcrest View Pro app. These are mainly when I am not connected to the same network as the camera, so I am not sure if this is an issue with the camera itself or the wireless network.- I like the ability to remotely tilt the camera through 360 degrees, so you can see all around a room, and the motion detection alerts gave me peace of mind when I was away that in the unlikely event someone was in my house, I would be alerted to it. Motion detection alerts are very sensitive - it even alerted me when a light came on and no-one was in the room!- I haven't wall-mounted my camera, but again the ability to do so is an added bonus and I'm sure plenty of people would use this feature.Overall a positive review and I'd recommend this product

Pros+ Great picture quality+ Rotatable camera+ Small footprint+ 30 fps (Key to capturing smooth videos)Cons+ Weak WIFI reception (Had to resort to using cabled connection for reliable feed)+ A bit more expensive than some of the cheaper Chinese cameras available on amazon.+ Can't seem to get rid of the Amcrest logo in the corner of the image.Overall I am happy with the camera I haven't really touched the software very much other than to obtain the IP address and to turn off any LEDs present at night time. Out of all the cameras I have I think this one might have the best image quality which says a lot when I have some 2k cameras which are not as clear as this 1080p one !!

The Amcrest 1080P WiFi Security Camera 2MP PTZ is a great little camera.Personally I'd spend the little extra and purchase the POE version if you have the ability to power it. As it will save on excess cables.The PTZ function is extremely responsive and fast, and the quality is great for a 1080p Camera.Night Vision also works as desired.The ability to two way communicate is always great, I've ended up using this as a Baby Monitor as the PTZ functionality is great when my little one moves all over the crib.There is no power supply provided however any 5V Usb plug will work with the unit or a USB Wall Socket.The app took seconds to setup and has been working consistently since purchasing.
