Works with Phillips Hue Hub and Looks Great!
I need E12 sized smart bulbs to go in a hanging lamp that is in my living room. It uses 5 bulbs however, and the Phillips brand color ones are currently $25 each, bring the cost to outfit this lamp to more than what the lamp cost. At half the cost (when I bought them anyway- prices fluctuate on Amazon) I figured it was worth a shot to try these instead.I'm new to smart bulbs and was really looking forward to setting up my new Phillips hue system. Usually when I get excited about something, I can get my hopes up too much and end up disappointed. Not this time! I am ecstatic! Since this review is for the bulbs, I will focus on those specifically. I love them!I took pictures of the lamp using some of the Phillips app presets and also two different custom settings that my kids and I made. The presets are the white lights in various settings:Bright - it is in a yellowed tone because I have it set to be appropriate for after sunset, and 2 progressively dimmer ones, then nightlight, and a very bright blue-toned one. These bulbs worked well in all of the settings. The nightlight setting is great. It shows up brighter in the photo than it is actually in person. The camera adjusted the brightness level. Even with all 5 bulbs the lamp is still quite dark. Of course it is adjustable if you want it brighter, but I had read that some brands of bulbs won't get very dark. I am pleased with these. The custom ones we made are the rainbow and the pastel. So fun and the kids love it. The pictures really don't do the colors justice. Especially the pastel one. It looks so amazing in person. The red is more vibrantly red than the Phillips brand standard sized ones get. I tried to get a table lamp that I put a Phillips bulb into, to get as red as the C mars ones but it wasn't as intense or vibrant. Which I find odd because Phillips is supposed to be the best.Setup was super easy. The Hue app easily found the bulbs. There is an icon labeled something like "search for lights" and you just select it and it finds the bulbs.I'm very pleased with these bulbs.

Fantastic! Works with Phillips Hue
Fantastic for the price. I saved tons of money and these paired with the Phillips hue app fairly easily. I do not understand why there is so many negative reviews, all 6 bulbs I ordered paired. My light isn’t hardwired and I couldn’t pair them using it, however using a hardwired light I was able to pair all of them quickly. As another reviewer said, if they’re not blinking to pair you flip the switch on/off 6-7 times in 1 second intervals and it’ll blink and pair no problem. We just want white, so the color is a bonus to us (even if it’s not as good as Phillips Hue bulbs). Seems slightly “slower” but doesn’t really matter to us.Edit: Ordered 6 more for my in laws and all work perfect. Ordering another 6 for my bedroom!

Hiccup out of box but works
I used these bulbs for a chandelier type light in the bedroom. They were such a better price than the hue bulb.I took them out of the box, screwed them in, and Alexa only saw 2 of them. This is the procedure for factory resetting the bulb:1. Unscrew the bulbs that work2. Turn the light switch on and off every .5 to 2 seconds at least 6 times3. When the bulb flashes twice and stays lit it has reset. It is a significant flash.4. Try againThis worked. Docking a star for having to spend time figuring this out. I will update if they last or not.

Limited Hue compatibility
Brightness level when displaying colors is noticeably lower than when displaying white. This is prevalent with lower-cost color changing bulbs, so this was not unexpected. The reason for the 3 stars is due to extremely limited Philips Hue compatibility.Yes, you can turn these on and off via the Hue App.Yes, you can adjust the colors with the Hue App.No, you can't use any of the Philups Hue Labs that cycle through colors automatically. These bulbs will just sit on a solid color, and not change automatically. No, you can't set this bulb to 2700k warm white with the Hue App. It seems to be stuck in daylight. Trying to set the temperature via the white color pallet does nothing.

Works ok with Hue bridge
These lights do work with the Hue bridge and app. They paired quickly with the app with no issues. They are bright when used as white bulbs, but the color option is not as bright. One disappointment is that the lights do not work well when used with the Hue labs application in a mode where the lights are supposed to gradually change color. These lights will have a flash of light when they change color in this mode. But they work well in static operation.

decent option depending on your use case - might not work in all scenarios.
Depending on your priorities and use-case these could be a great buy, unfortunately no amount of troubleshooting and time spent could get 3 bulbs installed in a 3 globe chandelier to match. And if you are looking for the ability to adjust white levels (soft white, warm white etc.) I do not recommend. But pairing with Hue, Hubitat Elevation and Smartthings went smoothly. Device manager / API usability was less reliable but work arounds were fairly straight forward.Recommendation: For certain use cases might be an inexpensive HUE bulb alternative.

A++ for Hue Hub intergration. A++ for being able to use Huegasam to sync with music on computer
So, the Hue Sync program for Windows and Mac will not let you add non Hue Bulbs to an entertainment zone.Get around that issue by buying Huegasam for Chrome browser., its $5. It will let you sync these Zigbee bulbs and probably ANY Zigbee light to music.Huegasam will NOT sync lights to music quite like Hue Sync does, it's a very different experience. However, it's MORE then good enough when you consider that non Hue Zigbee bulbs can be up to 1/4 the price of Hue branded bulbs! :-)
