Sicko Paperback – September 2, 2020

WOW!! Just WOW! Amo Jones has dang near left me speechless. In a puddle of emotions, all of my feelings torn to shreds. I was absolutely broken by the incredible masterpiece that is Sicko, before Amo Jones put me back together piece by piece. Let me start by saying that I think that Amo is incredibly talented and she gets better with every book she writes. As soon as I know she has a new book coming out, I immediately add it to my TBR, block out my schedule for it. This book was no different. It was everything I was hoping for, yet absolutely nothing like I was expecting it to be. It. Was.So.Much.More!Royce and Jade’s characters are phenomenally written. Royce first meets Jade, when she is brought into the family as a baby (a foster) and then adopted by them. As they grew up they always had a special connection, but when they grew to teens it became an entirely different type of love and connection between them. Royce’s love caused him to be alpha and protective. Jade might have been young but it was more than jealousy and infatuation.“We fight a lot, but we love hard and when it comes to him and me, one cannot exist without the other. “Their story is dark and tragically devastating. Parts of it hurt badly to read. I was broken down and torn apart. I hurt for these two characters who were inevitably meant for one another. Royce left her right on the cusp of them finally getting to be together, and it devastated her. What she endured after was the stuff nightmares are made of, but it showed us the strength and resilience of this beautifully crafted character. She was amazing. She was a warrior, perseverance personified. Complex and strong. I rooted and cheered for her to get her happy ending. Because if anyone deserved it, it was most certainly her.Royce/Sicko shredded me when he left Jade. I didn’t understand it. But...I knew and trusted that Amo would reveal to us why and who was behind Royce leaving and hurting Jade. However , the chain of events that happened to our Jade after he left was shocking, and unpredictable. It left me breathless and awestruck. I hung on every syllable of this book. Dangling on the edge of my seat. It was the perfect blend of dark and devastating, delicious and deviant. It was heartbreaking but at the same time full of hope. Truly it was the best kind of story. Triumph over tragedy, and what I love the most about dark romance. It was the forbidden dark romance I was looking for and didn’t even know it. At its very deepest, and darkest core, Amo Jones tells us a tragically beautiful tale of true love so strong that it slays the nastiest of demons, overcomes the most horrific of obstacles and forgiveness that heals even the most shattered and broken.My cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- This is a book this is almost impossible to sum up in a few sentences. Because this book is one I will think about for a long time to come. It’s one that you won’t be the same after reading. So you definitely need to read this book!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥- Oh My god. Hot Smokin’ Hades!!🔥Royce and Jade are off the charts hot. And don’t even get me started on the addition of Wicked! Because I.Am.Dead.💀🌪Cliffhanger Warning-No cliffhanger! However, I would sell all I own for Wicked’s book right about now or very soon.🔫 Trigger Warning-This book does have some scenes that could be considered triggers for some, just as the author warns in the beginning. It is what you would expect from a Dark/MC Romance. They are fairly graphic. If you have concerns you can PM for more information.

Wow! This is definitely a dark romance. The story is really good. It starts off all nice and cute and then, Bam! you're thrown into the deep end, and craziness ensues. A very emotional story; I laughed, cried, got angry... the author does a great job conveying all these emotions.There were so many plot twists that really kept the story completely enthralling.I don't want to give out any spoilers, but be advised that this book is very violent and deals with rape and human trafficking. It also has some very steamy "bedroom" scenes.I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars because there were quite a few times where things got really confusing. It was like jumping into the middle of someone's conversation, having no idea what's going on, but being expected to participate. I kept rereading chapters trying to find the info I needed to understand, only to find it wasn't actually me missing things. It was the story itself.That being said, I don't feel like those confusing parts took away from the story itself, and all in all, this was a really good book.

I am speechless.This was the best dark romance I have ever read. It's DARK. Please read the Trigger Warnings but wow...the writing is exceptional, even poetic at times, characters are complex and well-developed and the plot is captivating with SO MANY TWISTS. I did not see the twists coming and I normally do. Wow. Wow. Wow.This book will take you for a crazy ride!

Amo Jones did it again! I just absolutely love her writing style and prose. Love how immersed I feel in the story, and she has me hooked from the get-go. It is a dark romance and one of the darker ones I read, so definitely check the trigger warnings and protect your mental health.I loved the characters and, through her words, felt all their emotions and felt like I was right there with them, feeling their pain, angst and happiness, etc.The chemistry between Sicko and Jade was otherworldly and so beautiful! I'm so glad they got their HEA in the end, after all that suffering.The spice was great as always. But the plot and its twists are what I enjoyed the most.Would highly recommend and I'm so looking forward to reading Wicked's story.

Eu adoro a escrita da Amo, me encantei por todos os personagens dessa história. Uma protagonista tão forte, incrível com tudo o que passou e que amor lindo e insuperavel dela e do Royce( Sycho). Enfim, leiam. Não iram se arrepender. Me prendeu do início ao fim.

I may say ITS DARK !!!!!!!!! Like dark dark.But I loved it ? It was everything I wanted and more and it was so good I just loved it. ❤️

Sicko centres around adopted siblings Jade and Royce Kane. These two share an emotionally profound connection that is beautifully portrayed in Amo’s writing. For those who have read the excerpt that was included in the Anthology, that was just a nibble at the story that unfolds on the pages of this full length book. With Royce choosing to leave their family Jade has to grow up fast and learn to live without her beloved sibling. The unfathomable conditions Jade is thrust into were often hard to read but necessary to the mysterious and convoluted journey forced upon her. The interconnected stories lead you on a ride with no exit strategy, and I loved every second of it.Amo Jones and I have a long history as I have been reading her books for years. Her writing has grown and evolved into something i never expected. I am in absolute awe of her with every new story she writes. She weaves glitter into the grittiest of stories that it is impossible not to fall in love with all her characters. The life she breathes into them is incredible, they are 3 dimensional and feel like real people. To the point when I gushed about Sicko to my niece she thought it was a true story. Amo has hit a new level with her writing and I am dumbstruck! She is a phenomenal writer and human.These characters! I felt their love and pain in my marrow!!! I have never met a woman quite as strong, resourceful and duplicitous as Jade. She is a force to be reckoned with and villain be damned if they cross her. Royce Kane is a bad ass mother trucker VP of an MC and nicknamed Ripper for reasons you don’t want to know right now. His heart and soul is fierce and loyal, a true Wolf of the pack he protects with his life. The transcendent aspects of this story have me itching for future projects. In conclusion Sicko is without a doubt one of the best stories of 2020
